Thread: Weapon Powerups
In response to an earlier post...
I'm pretty darn sure they ARE random. I use the same resources on every coupler I make, and all my couplers are 91% efficiency, 35% durability (I'm a Mon Cal, you humans get another experimentation point) and I get a mix. If your theory was right I should have only one type of coupler in stock.
Di-Kiem: "After making the powerups, i.e.: Barrel, how do you use it? I would like to tryout a few of the one I make on my rifle or pistol... "
In your inventory, you drag the powerup over the top of a compatible weapon and drop the powerup onto the weapon.
The weapon will then show a stat for the remaining powerup charges left. Believe it starts at 100 charges.

You used to be able to create the same item repeatedly by observing several rules, this has now been changed.
surely your sig should be 11 or 101?
btw, i meant the rules change, not the other.
Hmm, Iam justlucky I guess. I have 5 of the 7 Quickcharge I made in a row still in my pack. I have 7 of the 10 Hotwired I made in row. I also have 5 of the 10 ShortCircuit that I made, yes, all in series. I hit 100% on these 27 couplers. Maybe I'm lucky. Wish I was that lucky in everything else. I will try some more today to see if It was a fluke.
Well I use a 33% power up on my FWG5 and it becomes a 375 dmg pistol... My carbine becomes a 450s (not at home right now) weapon... With that kind of damage I run about 3 bounties before using it again unless I have to take something huge down on my way there. They have their place.
No power up for heavy weapons
They will degrade the weapon faster but so does slicing. Not sure if this property is cumulative or not. Haven't noticed any difference if it was powered up or not so far as item decay is concerned.
Marks, PvP andBattlefield Zones are all good places to apply a power up.
Use this as your benchmark:
Any time you're thinking about buffing before that encounter, you could definitely use a good power up.
Im looking for weapon powerups on the Ahazi server (ranged powerups)... Do artisans make the best ones? or do weaponsmiths make the best ones? Send me a tell or email to Aurios on Ahazi if you have really good ones for sale, ill pay a lot!
Artisans are the only one that could make powerup. Master Artisans make the best one, because of they get experimental bonuses.
Of that, I believe Human Master Artisans get a little bonus over that
no matter how much i try to drag a weapon power up on to one of my weapons it doesnt work i have tried it with lots of different weapons and i use different powerups does anyone know whats wrong?
Thanks
