I've asked for a bump for master artisans in terms of item limits, but I don't think it's going to happen. I think we will get a bump at Business IV, though.

I'm trying,

Guru

I've already expressed what I would like to see as a reasonable item levels for those of us who are Master Artisans and those who continue on and hold some or all of the merchant lines.

For myself though I cancelled my account and finish up playing on 7 Sept - and this is irrespective as to whether they up the item levels or not.

It was stupidly thought out idea that is going to devastate most of the crafting professions and lead to quite a few people leaving the game, if not temporarily, then forever.

I know in the city I run, we have already lost a few of the more senior players (one player has just cancelled all 5 of his accounts and wont be back). The majority of themare crafters who do not like combat related activities and who see their days as being spent doing pretty much nothing as they wait for items to get sold off their vendors. They are faced with restricted abilities to craft and store items for future sale, a life of nothing more than babysitting vendors, and nothing else. What little hunting they did is now not possible as they have had to drop most of their combat skills topickup as much merchant as possible so as not to see crafted items get deleted. Theyare not happy and so they are walking away from the game completely.

What is worse though is that we are now seeing newer players who are in the process of cancelling their accounts as they are shocked at the disillusionment that has set in amongst the elder community. They see what we are going through and are thinking "that could be me in a few months time" so they are not hanging around.

For myself, I am fed up with having to voice my opinion over these issues once the decision has already been made. The whole thing reeks and I'm just tired from having to do this over and over again. Its been like this since the start of Beta 3 and I just can't be bothered anymore.

I play to enjoy myself, and SOE have successfully sucked all the enjoyment out of this game with their underhanded tweaking and nerfing. These things should of been decided 12 months ago - not now.

I am a Master Artisan. I have tons of products that I sell that would need way more space that what is being put up in front of us. Speeders, powerups, crafting tools, newbie weapons, and Artisan foods would all blow past that insane number they are trying to push down our throats!!! To make things livable we would at least need 125 at BusinessIII to start off then give and extra 25 at IV then another 50 at Master. This would be livable. Barely.

Very interesting sentiment and yet another parallel to Turbine and the demise of Asheron's Call 2...

A few months in, Turbine or Microsoft in their "infinite wisdom" decided that they'd add in free trials to try to increase subscription numbers (which were falling like a rock at the time). Mind you, they did this while they were adding numerous game-breaking bugs to the game with each patch. In the middle of the free trials, they announced some pretty significant nerfs.

The combination of the bugs, nerf announcements, and free trials solidified thousands of potential players AGAINST coming into AC2.

Thesubscriptions dwindled so harshly that they consolidated 8 or 10 servers into 3 today.

SOE now seems to be hell-bent to repeat that process. I can only imagine that this new Tyrant guy overseeing SWG came from Turbine recently.

Ingame Names: Sif @ Bria, Chilastra, Flurry, Naritus, Starsider | Hiordis @ Kettemoor | Freya @ Tempest
Quotable: It's pretty freaking underwhelming when the story turns out to be you, alone, in a field, for two weeks, punching toads. | At least SOE lasted a year before they went Turbine on us.

Yes.. Unfortunately things like that happen. It's called downs.....Noooo... RIGHTsizing. That's it.

And I wouldn't be surprised if the SOE servers will be consolidated as well. Either simply shut down the not so hot servers and offer people places on the ones that are left, or simply put a bunch together.

The decision was stupid, the reasoning was stupid, but what was utterly moronic was the way they first brought it to everyone's attention. Baaad idea. With just a few minutes thinking time they could've made a 99% sure prediction what the effect would be. And 99 is rare...

Mad.
