How is this for a fix they could try... Has anyone had anything besides weapons/armor wear out on them? I feel bad for all the tailors out there. There is ZERO decay on anything they produce. If they would increase the decay rate (or add it since I don't see it working now at all), it would help out in a number of areas:

It all comes down to how long an item lasts. I used the same CDEF rifle for almost a month before spotting a crafted item that was better. Had to repair it once and I think it was my overshot use to blame there, but it was still the same rifle. Here is what I see happening now. Once there are enough master weaponsmiths out there I buy the best rifle I can find. I won't have to replace it for 2-3 months of constant gameplay? So no more market for weapons.

The only people that seem to buy clothes are the dancers, and they are broke. (A whole different topic here) Clothing doesn't wear out and just gets resold or maybe even destroyed when the person doesn't like it anymore.

I figure the other elite trees are similar, but haven't really experimented there yet. As long as you have new players coming in you will have a market for items, but it is going to dry up. Personally I love crafting, but just can't see sticking with it.

** Edit

Looking through I noticed I am not the only one that has an issue with decay times. Checked the development page. This one didn't make it.

I would get rid of cxp and make everything uxp. If you can't sell what you make, you have no business being an artisan.

That's my one change.

Here's a quick question, I've never tried it, so maybe it will sound silly.

Can a non-artisan operate a factory?

If they can, the unique schematic drops will not assist artisans, if they are a 'uber' schematic, they will hurt artisans. Anyone can buy resources, and if they can set up a factory, and then mass produce an uber item, it will hurt sales for artisans.

A streamlined system that needed fewer clicks to make an item.

Remember that they are two type of Schematics. Factories only use Manufacturing Schematics so if the unique drop schematics are just the regular type they would require a craftsman to produce the prototype or Manufacturing Schematic.

#2 is fixed. Turn off your filter and double click the travel pack. You can use the resources right there.

Here is a question that should be on everyones mind.

How come a free online role play game has less problems than one you pay for?

Check out guild wars and you will see what i am talking about, tons of content and i haven't seen any bugs running around cept for the ones you kill, lol.

SWG is a subscription based game and there are more problems and bugs than any one person could possibly keep track of. And to think you guys are going to try and have a FAN FEAST, ummmm i mean FEST, lol.
