Thread: Pub 10 and Harvester Problems

Well, before I said I didn't have the problem but since the second night after publich 10 I have it too... I bugged it once but I don't do it all the time or should we /bug it everytime we look after our harvesters?

This is pretty much what Ive come to expect from the Devs/SoE. Not a single goddamned Publish has ever been released smoothly, without it ruining another game system.
Of the 25 static Mineral harvesters I have down, roughly half of them went haywire a few days ago. I had them all set to pulling a nice shift of Codoan Copper.
When I last checked them, theyd pulled about 9-10k of the copper I wanted, plus 9-10k of atleast two other resources. I figured it was a bug, reset them all to the copper, and logged out.
That was a couple days ago. Today I log in to find..
That the harvesters that used to have 3 x 10k piles of random resources in them, now have 1 x 30k pile of resources, and none of those piles are the initial Codoan copper. Ive lost around 3-400k of good quality Codoan copper. Place a ticket? Whats the f\/cking use, this $hit was /bugged on TC WHEN IT HAPPENED, and somehow it still managed to find its way onto the live servers.
Seriously, what the f\/ck is going on down there at SoE central? Who else do you know can be so completely inept at their jobs and continue to be employed?

This happened on two of my static medium mineral harvesters as well. I can't remember if I dropped them pre-pub 10, but it doesn't seem to happen with any other harvesters (yet). It seems like the random resources it's harvesting are resources that it could pick up had I selected them (i.e. I'm not getting nabooian fiberplast on lok, and only resources that are currently spawned). One harvester seems to have the right extraction rate, but still gets random resources. The other seems to have double the extraction rate on the random resources, but the normal extraction rate on the selected resource.
I started 5 harvestors at the same time, checked them later and 4 were filled to 30-35% (including one of the "randomizers") the firth was filled to 71%, so I think this bug not only affects the resource type, but the base extraction rate, either that or one of the random resources the fifth started harvesting was at a high percentage in the area? I'm not sure.
I do know it wouldn't be hard to do a diff on the code pre-pub 10 and the pub 10 code for harvesters and spot the error. This is a major pain for anyone who is using harvesters, especially now that we need to harvest MILLLIONS of resources to grind crafting FS skills.

I am still having this problem as of Sunday at 2300 central time. The harvesters still show the resource I selected as the one being harvested, but other resources are being pulled up. Not all of my harvesters are doing this, but since all 10 are next to each other I can't find a reason for this.
Not only is this annoying, its causing me a lot of wasted time as my harvestors spend hours pulling up a resource that is only 2% where I am at...
Fix this in the morning please.

I have 50 medium harvesters in a static field, and only about 50% are infected with this problem. It´s mainly those that have been there for more than 1 month.

Still got the probelm Tuesday at 10AM Pacific. I wish the Dangerous Devs would stop putting out publishes at the end of the week. I guess they're back now from the long weekend and will start on the fix.

I'd like to know what possessed them to do a major publish before a long holiday weekend?
All 10 of my harvesters are mobile and have been in place for 2 weeks, so it isn't a static field/ mobile thing.

I have a thoery that its brand new harvs that are immune to this, all the older harvesters seem to be affected.
And i don't mean older static harvesters... i mean even harvesters that have been re-deeded and moved, i've noticed none of the brand new harvesters I planted within the last week or so had messed up hoppers, but both static and moved harvesters that were older (had most my harvesters months now) get the problem about 60% of the time.
Just a thoery, i didn't test it, and who knows... maybe the ones that worked well will start screwing up in a few days, guess i'll have to wait. GAH i hope this gets fixed soon.

I have 8 heavies on Ore in Cor with the same serial number, 5 of them have mixed resources and the other 3 stay on ore. Wierd and hurting my ore production....

i am having the same problem on chilistra with my mineral harvestor...that is harvesting stuff i want and stuff i dont...and it is always in a case of 1...what am i going to do with one resource....
