Thread: Power Ups...What the....and pricing ?
/shamefaced
Asteroids is absolutely correct. WarHero1016 was asking about stocks, not muzzles, and I was talking about stocks but typed muzzles instead. Many thanks to Asteroids for the correction.
I believe, however, my answer is right for _stocks_

I experiment quite a lot and make sure i get a couple of good modifiers in there ... with no cost to ham or weapon ... then run them out and sell them for 1400 a crate. It may sound cheap but i move 10 crates a day and that volume makes me happy.
When it says + mind cost or + any HAM cost it actually means - ham cost. I tested it on a couple powerups and weapons and on a weapon with +30 mind cost, i attached a weapon powerup with mind cost +30% and the modifier was mind ham cost -9 for a total of 21 mind cost.
Just want to make sure people know that Ham cost on a powerup is a good thing not a bad thing. I dont know if you said you make powerups with no ham costs because you thought they added to the ham cost or just because you would rather have a different powerup
The chance of a tertiary, etc. (ie. 3 to 5 modifier PU's) statistic and it's value is randomly determined (pretty sure it's weighted)every time you experiment so of course it makes sense that the more you experiment (ie. one point at a time) the greater your chance of getting more than 2 modifiers. Vice versa for failures.
I sell all my PU's at 2500 per crate of 10. I don't care what type they are or how many modifiers they may have. They're all made using 990+ minerals and chemicals (99% experimentation).
