And here I thought my grinding macro was efficient because I only had to put the draft schematic number in one place and change a couple of pause statements...

It worked for me just fine not more than two days ago. After the CU, the system got very picky about having semi-colons at the end of every line in a macro, though. That might have something to do with it.

is the pickyness that you need or dont need? because I have a ; after every line.... when it gets to the /nextcraftingstage; it just hangs.

None of my macros would work post CU unless I had a semi-colon at the end of every line. Once I edited all of them to include the semi-colon at the end of every line they worked fine, including the crafting one presented here by Elyssa.

So if you have semi-colons in your macro and it doesn't work, there's something else going on. Maybe something in the new patches the last couple days busted it.

Then again, I'm no expert on crafting either...

SWG macros are so simple/easy to create, a monkey could do it.Not the slightest bit complicated.

Definately still working. Just finished grinding AS again with a different toon, and almost through tailor again. Using one very similar to Elyssa's.

There is no way to "auto-magicly" add the items needed in step 2/6, huh? Just cuts your clicking so that you don't get Mouse-Strain or anything, correct.

Correct.
You would need a third-party program to do the mouse clicking for you and such things are a violation of the TOS.

Basically this allows you to sit and do nothing but add the resources each time.

What you need to do is get a droid with a crafting station. That way you'll always have a private crafting station with you, and you can write your macros that way. Even if you're using a full size private station at your house to create your actual goods, for just grinding use the droid.

One more thing...
Don't use grind macros for shipwright. Since you don't lose materials on a critical failure, you can just hit the next button and try again, but a macro will carry on after the error and cause your materials to go byebye.

Too much work.
Do this instead:
Delete the "selectdraftschematic" line from your macro.
Replace it with: (you can alter the pause time depending on how long it takes your crafting tool to boot up)
/pause 2;
/ui action defaultButton;
Now open a crafting tool.
Pick the item you want to craft.
Click "Next" and advance to the resource input screen.
Click the "X" to close the tool.
Now run your macro.
You'll never have to guess what the schematic number is again.
Need to craft a different item?
Open the tool, select a new item, click next, close the tool, run your macro.

I didn't notice this step at first and had trouble getting my crafting tool to remember what I wanted to craft. I found that you can also get the tool to remember the schematic you want to craft by picking the item you want to craft and clicking "Exit" in the bottom left corner of your tool.

Hope this helps someone else start crafting the defaultButton way.
