Some of those PuP's are mislabelled, and there's no way to tell unitl you either remove them from the factory crate or install them. I recently bought a crate of +29.25 damage / +19.59 speed high-power barrels (I knew it sounded too good to be true). When I put one on my DE-10, it turned out to be minus 19.59 speed. It actually did nothing whatsoever to my calculation of the actual DPS of the weapon, because the speed decrease exactly counterbalanced the damage increase. Good thing I decided to check it on my weapon before I cleaned out this guy's vendor of them, which I was about to do.

Why do people insist on looking at DPS? A max damage power up will increase your damage output go try it. Shoot a critter with a special note the damage. throw on the power up and shoot it with the same special. Guess what you WILL do more damage. As far as the speed if youra double master the added speed means nothing. Bottom line stop looking at dps as the end all stat.

You also bought converted Power ups. Look for post cu crafted. I can make 32% damage and 12% speed and there is defenitly an improvement. Note im only a 11pt artisan find a 14 point one and you can really get some nice ones. In my opinion for pistoleers damage and action reducers are best depending on what kind of fight your in.

As a Rifleman, I actually find the action SAC powerups most useful. With one of those plus some Blob Candy, I can spam away at my highest-damage specials, and it takes a long time to drain my action completely. I only bought those damage powerups because the stats misleadingly stated that they'd increase both speed and damage. Caveat emptor.

What kind would you put on a 1k+ max 104 sac PH? For 1v1 pvp.


Im Master Swords, Doc 4-0-0-4, Tk 2-1-0-4, Fencer 0-0-0-2.


Weird template, I know, but it's seem to work so far.

Been testing with pups recently...


First I started with Speed pups...pushed my modded dps to 750 or so which was nice, but ive read that damage is more important.


So I tried damage pups and max damage was now 1400+...and ive noticed its quicker to kill stuff, damage pups probably the best for pvp or...


Then I tried SAC pups yesterday...my 104 SAC hammer went to 77, and I could spank away at specials for ages with foods and doc buffs.


So for me its between damage or SAC ones...if you think it will be a short fight then damage, or SAC's for a long draw out encounter.

For my char 104 SAC i livable, I rarely run out of action (if I play smart) and having 80 instead wouldn't make much difference - so I put a speed PUP on my PH (close to your stats but slightly lower damage). Hitting hard more often (even with Melee Hit) is better than having one more special / 2 minutes (which is what you gain by lowering SAC).


Haven't tested a dam. PUP yet, but unless you have 130 SAC I think dam. or speed definitely is the way to go.

DPS means nothing and your damage means nothing if you can only use melee hit to attack a target. I prefer sac powerups. They are hard to find on my server atm, but i found some decent ones at 16% sac -3 accuracy. In testing against a jedi I found I can special ALOT more and keep the jedi busy healing himself which drains his forces and allows me to say on the offensive and not constantly healing myself. My hammer isnt great by far. It is a post CU geno hammer thats 90 sac and 1006 dam. With the PU the sac is in the low 70s. It has been 4% dam sliced with 3% critical strike. It can be slice for another 4% of dam as well. I will probably have another hammer made with the all the experimentation done on the sac and use dam power ups on it. The genoesian cave is really easy now and getting good agents, cubes, and bones might help with the cost of your weapon (if you loot the componets yourself).

So maybe a medium SAC, quite high dam and very low speed would be nice with a SAC PUP? That means fast specials for low cost...


Gonna try finding that and test it - all I know is that it's important to hit often and hit hard - so just SAC doesn't do you any good, you need the speed and a decent damage to go with it.

Drop TKM for Master Doc. Trust me...keep tka 0100 for improved CoB and rebuff yourself whenever you want and adrenaline boost right before combat. Speed isnt a issue with that combo. The crafting cap on SAC is 82. So try to get a Geno Hammer made with -15 action red cubes and at least +15 Solidifying Agents. With 8% cap on slice and possible cap on SAC without experimenting on it. You can use all your experimentation on dam. I would use SAC pups on it as well since dam ones nerfs your speed. You will be able to special till your blue in the face.

I use an old pre cu acklay heavy hitter with 3.0 speed with my 34 speed -30 ac I hit at 1.17
