Perhaps like your laser carbine, if a non-artisan uses a harvey the yield will be reduced as damage is with weapons. So a non-artisan could use a BER 10 harvey but it would only be effective to BER 8.




I like this too. Maybe there should be aBER efficency tied to each step in survey with initial harvester qualification being granted at novice artisan. If you dont have any survey, then just like the weapons you are not qualified (certified) to use, yourBER will svck because you're not qualified for that level of harvester. Then this would also be in order with what the docs/medics have. You get minimal med use at novice medic, but cant use the better stims until you climb a tree in the field.

Novice Artisan - personal harvester certified.

Survey I -survey range increases.

Survey II - medium harvester certified.

Survey III -survey range increases more.

Survey IV - Heavy harvester certified.

Master Artisan - Reduced maintenance/powerrequiremnets for harvesters

i love this idea makes a market for us just like other professions ie (armorsmith, weaponsmith, DE, ect) if we want armor we must go to a armorsmith so if other professions want material they should have to come to us.
