Thread: AV-21 Landspeeder
I am not an artisan, have been a musician since launch, and I really feel for you on the subject of being excluded. Especially being needed to craft something that you'll have a harder time getting. Good thing is, everyone in the group gets it, and you do make credits with your profession...
Believe me, being a master musicianwith skills spread out over a few other combat professions left me hard pressed when the holocrons changed and I wanted to go for the FSS unlocking.
There's nothing you can accomplish from being a musician other than having people cheer for you and give you tips. (I can buff people's mental substats but can't even do my own)
Hey, I don't mean to complain, because I honestly enjoyed it enough that, once I havefinished this silly professions-grind I will actually spend the 106 skill points to be that (other than role-playing-wise) utterly non-beneficial-to-selfProfession again. (Did anyone follow that?)
ANYWAY...
the other reason I wanted to post here was because I was lucky enough to get myself the powerplant the first time I went up, and the schematic later on after a few more trips.
I raced around, hunting for the resources I could find with the highest SR... I ended up with steel with 986 SR and alluminum with 878 (or so) SR.
It was crafted with a 95%... which totalled 2930 Health, which I am quite happy about ![]()

noone has a screenshot of the AV 21 schematic, and can post resources and experimential stuff here?
Now, I didn't actually see the information on the schematic (as I am not an artisan) but I was told that it has the same requirements as a regular landspeeder.
Something like 3.5k ferrous and 1.5k non-ferrous... I think?
And as far as I know, the only things that matter when making the vehicles (currently) are the Shock Resistance of the resources, and the Durability in the experimentation process.
Best of luck to everyone.
BTW I was surprised when so many people started REALLY wanting this speeder.
When I saw the pics a few weeks ago, I knew that my character, Omadda Szool, HAD to have it. It just looked like something he would drive. I thought it was kind of silly (over the top) looking, and that most people wouldn't want it. Honestly, though, at that time, I thought it would work like a regular landspeeder, and only wanted it for it's looks.
Then the day before the Corvette was put live, I heard that the AV-21 was nearly as fast as the swoops but better up slopes. So, obviously that's why most people want it. Too bad, I think it would have been a lot more rare if it had only looked different and not actually had any benefits. Of course people would complain about the poor reward, but some things should be left in this game entirely about style and not substance. That's half the fun of Star Wars ![]()
Oh, I've raced three swoops and won each time... run missions with everyone else on swoops and never fallen behind, in fact when we go up slopes I have to apply the brakes a bit to prevent over-taking the leader. Not bragging... only informing :/

1) Q: Is the power core easy to get?
A: The power core is a RARE drop. I've been up 5 times and it's dropped once.
2) Q: Does everyone in the group get one?
A: No only the person that actually loots the armoir in the Armory gets it. Because of this avoid going up with strangers. I already had a case of someone lying about what they got for loot so they could hoard the power core for themselves.
3) Q: Is the schem a one time use?
A: Yes it is.
Also if making it use your high quality resources. If you have a crit fail on it you will have one angry customer that will be convinced you are lying. Hasn't happened to me but it did to a friend.
If I think of any more I'll post them up. Hope this helps everyone.
I can understand that the non-combat peeps feel left out, but i'm sure that future quests will include something that only the artisans can benefit from.
That has to be the funniest thing I've ever read on these forums
there was only ever 1 set of Mandalorian Armour at this point in the timeline
Actually, there is at least one other owned by Jodo Kast. But yeah, there shouldn't be a lot of them running around. From what I hear they need to bring in an AS, Tailor and maybe another crafter to make it!

I asked an artisan to make mine i handed over the schem and the powerplant just to hear the words critical fail...
As you can guess i accused the artisan of trying to rip me off (the shock hit me so hard) .
As you can imagine it got pretty heated and now i walk away in shame of accuseing a good friend of ripping me off...
With this that has happend my name is now worth nothing and i might aswell quit the game....
The Devs should never have made this type of rare item be able to CF as its so hard to get... So to the Devs i say thanks for that..
And to my self i say "you have done it now"
If the artisan that tried to make the speeder for me all i can say is sorry for accuseing you of trying to rip me off it just was such a shock at the time as i worked so hard to get the schem and the powerplant.. Plz forgive me..
The power core can be in one of three locations (it could drop off the battle droids too I heard, I don't kill anything up there so I dunno):
In the room next to where you get the datadisk #4 there is an armoire. A power plant can be in there (usually a stun baton or an EE3 Rifle)
to the right of the passage that leads to the hyperdrive room there is a utility room that has an armoire and a broken droid. Each one of these can have the power plant.
On your way to the elevator to the bridge, instead of turningleft to go to the elevator, go straight and enter the armory (you did the get code didn't you?) inside the armory is another armoire that could have a power plant in it.
So, you have 4 chances to get a power plant. It is VERY rare. I went 12 times and didn't get one but the last two times I got one each time.
I probably confused most of you so here's the walkthrough I use:

In Everquest, if you were in the group when someone crafted, it actually posted the success or failure. So if someone said they failed and lost your items, you knew better because it would tell you if they successful or not. There's no cheating allowed to happen in that case.
SWG needs a button you can click that will display your success or failure to others. Oh and this is very important, if they add this feature IT HAS TO WORK!! LOL
