Hello,
I know there must be a tone of crafting posts on here and I'm sure there's an easy awnser to mine
I just want to know a list of items that give good crafting xp and where to get the supplies to make them. I want to make Adv. Bio thingys but I can't seem to find Lokian Wild Wheat and Tatooinian Fiberplast. I would like to buy them if anyone knows where I can get some large amounts kind of cheat (I'm very low on cash). I just want to use them to grind to master doc if anyone can help me out. Thanks so much

If you hae novice Artisan, you can survey for resources and place your own harvestors. This will take a bit longer than buying resources at a vendor, but I have found it cheaper. You would need two harvestors, one for the Lokian wild wheat and one for the fiberplast. You will also need credits for maintenace and some sort of power (I use wind power - I know there are other forms, but you can always find cheap wind power on the bazaar if you do not want to harvest that resource). You know what planet they spawn on, so that is a good starting place. I usually head just outside of a playercity and start surveying. Get the hightest concentration you can find and plop down your harvestor. Once you put in credits, power and turn the harvestor on, you should have enough to start your crafting grind in about 24 hours. Just keep checking and pulling off more resources as you need them.
Again, this is a little time consuming, but it has saved me a lot of money in the long run. Good luck!!

I'll have to have someone else set up my harvestors because I'm out of lots, but I have a freind that can do that.

Unfortunately, you will likely not be able to find even grinding quality resources for doctor at a cheap price. Even on the bazaar, Lokain Wild Wheat and Tat Fiberplast will run you 3 or more cpu with really bad stats. If a house or merchant tent would have a vendor with them, they would more than likely be in larger stacks than you would need for grinding (or be able to afford if you're low on cash). Setting up your own harvesters would be best, as said above. In just a couple days you'll have plenty to start your long, boring grind through doc crafting. Make sure to launch a display of fireworks when you complete the branch!

Okay, thank you very much for the quick responses, i'll try and set up some harvestors this weekend. If anyone has extremely good deals on lokain wild wheat and tatooinian fiber plast please still let me know as if I can get some cheap it will save some time, but otherwise I'll go with harvestors. Thanks again!

I can only comment on Weponsmith as that is the only Crafting that I've done alot of.
The best way to get WS XP is going to Be Heavy Warheads. they give 700and some xp per Craft. Downside to this is that it's dammed Expensive.. Thoranium Steel, Hydron-3 Gas, and the ever scarce Skevon Gas are all required. but when you get all set up it moves quite fast.
I have heard that architect gives some good XP but uses stupid amounts of Resources... But I'll let an Architect comment on that Proff.
Short answer tho is Don't do it unlessl you want the Crafting FS boxes for your Toon!!!! it's evil.. it's boring... it's expensive.... it's boring.. and it's slow (well for me any way), and it's boring...
As a path to Jedi, it's not the best choice. but if you plan on staying a crafter then the FS Boxes are worth it (I hope)
Good Luck

Just wandering if its worth stocking up my vendors with weapons before the CU.... as all the weapons on TC5 with the CU At base are 2 or more times more powerfull thany anything we can currently create... EG Sythes having 701Max Damage from a frog... and if i do craft will my weapons get upgraded to higher stats when the CU hits?

Any weapons you have or craft now will be adjusted to CU stats but all weapons seen on TC5 now are from the frogs, frog weapons are always ALOT different from crafted ones. These weapons may be overpowered to help test the combat system. The actual crafted ones could be higher or lower, I guess nobody will know until the later stages of testing when the elite trainers are added and people can start grinding WS
I think you should keep crafting and stocking your vendor, although the CU is meant to be before 5th May it could be longer depending on the test results

Actually, you do get XP, albiet a small amount. I tested it but it and it is not worth the aggrevation. You only get xp from a factory that you own. I think the xp was about 1/10th the xp of actual crafting and you must be online and within close range of the factory to earn the xp. Depending upon the complexity of the item, you may have to wait up to 250 seconds for this tiny amount of xp to add to your experience total.
(But, considering the combat upgrade and hit that my alternate characters are going to take, I don't think any of this matters anymore.)
