A 27% combine?


Do you mean that you see a 27% experimental effectiveness or a +27% boost to the max attribute?


If the former, that's not anywhere near the same league as a +33%/+16% powerup, those require a 98 or 99% experimental effectiveness to achieve. If the latter, what experimental effectiveness are you achieving, and with what overall qualities of your materials?


I've never seen evidence that anything other than overall quality affects powerups, and I've made a LOT of powerups.

I agree totally with Rho. But don't take our word for it, look at the lower right side of the crafting window when you have a powerup selected. It says 'Effectiveness: Overall Quality 100%'. If you are getting +27% stats, then you are using materials far inferior to the ones discussed in this thread, it has nothing to do with secondary characteristics.
