The ones that look like plates...what do you do with them?

There are 2 types of skill enhancing attachments - the tape like and also the plate like... The plate type go into armour that has open sockets and the tape type goes into clothes with open sockets.
Currently there are NO Armour types that have open sockets, so basically at the moment they are useless. The tape type can be fitted to clothes.
Also remember you only need to be an artisan to make clothes with open sockets.... it requires some experimentaion and also some decent resources but its quite common to make them on a regular basis.

You have to be an artisan to put skill enhancements in your clothing, if you aren't one get a friend who is to do it for you

Whats the deal with skill enhancement attachments. I'm an Artisan and I found a few SEA's butthey are confusing. Where (what kind of items (yellow slots?) can they be used? can they be dropped into items like powerups or do they need to be crafted? Do they run out like powerups? Please help

to the best of my knowledge:
- the tape-looking ones go in socketed clothes (made by a tailor)
- the armor segment-looking ones go in armor (but that's not currently working)
- they're buggy as all get out atm, and in some cases can actually reduce your stats.
I've opted to just stash them away as i get them until they get fixed.

ok i knew there is probably a more appropriate section for this, but i need some help
i have a unarmed damage +2 skill enhancement, and tons of slotted clothing items i.e. shorts, shirts, jackets
the thing is, i cant seem to put it in any of these. i can only put it in a personal shield gen. does anyone know what i can put it in ????

Problem for you is, its not a clothing attachment. It's an armor type attachment.
The clothing attachments look like rolls of tape, and the armor types are metal square plate looking.
