Thread: Do resources change from location to location

I also got semi-confirmation of this answer when I read the guide on the swgcenter.com site late last night.
I find itdisturbing that several Master Artisans on my server have told me (in game via tells) that you have to walk around and find them, they all dont show up all the time--- I am certain now they meant "if they are on the list but you dont find any when you survey for them"; but my question to them was quite clear, so who knows.
Given the answers I got last night, I spent several hours searching Corelliaand was skeptical given the resource list NEVER changed at all 
Would have been a complete waste of time except I found a razor cat (master CH)! Surveying and searching for rare pets go hand in hand I have found

Whether you have Survey 1 or Survey 4, the minerals that show up in the MINERAL SURVEY TOOL are the ONLY metals available at that moment on THAT PLANET in THAT GALAXY. It is very important that you understand that point while reading these boards. Someone mentions a specific resource (i.e Igram) that has a Conductivity of 1000. If they are on Bloodfinyou are on Intrepid, you very well may have Ingram available, but it doesn't have to have the same stats. Also, when you look at your survey tool the metals that you see are the metals on that planet available to you and anyone else. Doesn't matter if you have Survey 1 or 4. Like was stated, the only thing that the survey levels get you is increased range with your survey device and increased harvest when you /sample (don't confuse this with using a harvester).
And they argue that only artisans should place harvesters....
