There are macro's that exist to help automate the process, but the speed will not be increased at all by it. Surveying has a set speed, and that can't be increased. The only way to make it go any faster is to land yourself on a 96-97% concentration where the failure rate will be much lower.

accaragam (sp?) is your friend... this quick drink buff will allow you to never run out of action (till it wears off) whilst sampling
then you just need that macro that presses defaultbutton every so often.
