Thread: 3 New Landspeeders

It's nice that they broke the requirments into small stacks, so you dont need masses of matchign resource, but for those of you with little resource or lots of small piles, consider finding someone with a metal recycler and converting it all into matching recycled metals. Quality will be low, but initially the demand will be so high, people will gladly pay a fair price for even a "slag speeder"

Thanks for the screenies Guru! The XP-38 and the V-35 are quite nice looking, but what is up with the AB-1? It looks like a stripped down pod racer from Episode I.


So how do all of these handle? About like an X-34?


Edit: I had posted this in another thread about patch 17, but my question kind of got buried by all of the ranger hijacks, so I'll repost here:



Guru, do you think you could get us some word as to whether or not they're going to remove the 3 vehicle limitation with the addition of these new vehicles? Or if we could at least negotiate an increase in the limit? Aside from enjoying playing with all of the vehicles from time to time, it's also nice to be able to pull the various vehicles out for people so they can see what they're buying ahead of time.

Hey all,

Resources:

AB-1, V-35, XP-38:
315 Non-Ferrous
1125 Ferrous
310 Non-Ferrous
500 Non-Ferrous
275 Chemical
1725 Ferrous


As for handling, the AB-1 seems quick, but I'm not sure if it is as fast asa a swoop. The V-35 is ponderous, while the XP-38 is reasonable.

They all have bad Terrain Negotiation, though the XP-38 might be a bit better than the others.

I've not done any races or anything yet.

There has been no word on an increase in the number of vehicles in the data pad. I'll ask though.

Just to confirm the top speed on all three of the new vehicles is 12.5m/s (which is the same as the X-34, the swoop is between 16-17 m/s). Acceleration is different, as is turning circle.


Durability is in the range 1500-3000 (decay rate of the X-34) and I don't think anyone in this thread has picked up the capacity - for the AB-1 and XP-38 it is the normal 2 seater, but the V-35 has the pilot in the top seat, the cockpit in the front has 6 seats which can all be used!


Please note - this is TC and details can and hopefully will change before this goes live (I'd prefer to see a speed boost on the AB-1, preferably up to Swoop speed as if not we will end up with the only craftables being used as the swoop for speed and the V-35 for capacity/decay rate, others will be RPuse only)

i believe the speed of all 3 of em are bugged so they are all as fast as the X34

....and my AB-1 had no sound....i dont think any of them
