I started making my tools for 100 credits per charge--since my kits ranged between 5-8 charges, it meant my profit varied between 300% and 500% (Yes this includes the cost for the storage compartments everything)So far as I know, I am the first person to make the customization kits. After I ran out, I headed back for my place to grab more materials, and when I got backa couple of people were selling the kits for 1000 credits per charge. (If they got their components for as little as I do, that would mean that their kits are selling for about 5,300% over expenses.)

When I returned, several of these people sent me angry /tells and e-mails about how I was undercutting their prices. Only one or two were civil and understanding to me--after all, I was the first person to be selling them, so how was I to know that I should ask for 5,300% of my investment?

I have submitted to their pleas (mostly because I had already decided that I should consider my 100 cpc would be a 1 day sale anyway) and I will be adjusting my prices according to what the kits are selling for (max and minimum) at the end of the day. I imagine this will end up being about 500 credits per charge.

Anyway, hopefully this helps in some way to let you know how things are shaping up on Starsider. I'll try to update you on theStarsider pricesagain later this evening, and until then good luck out there!

I haven't been up to speed on the schematics for the Customization Kits until the patch went live today. But for the Devs to say they're made by Master Artisans is totally misleading seeing as though they require Droid Storage compartments to build. That means one of three things... either you buy the parts in crates from a DE, pay a DE to make the schematic for you, or use up some skill pts to become a Novice DE yourself. Again, totally misleading... and disappointing to discover after hanging onto Master Artisan in anticipation of having more product to sell and services to offer.

Agreed, I was rather disappointed to see a droid storage compartment was required. Fortunately we had a Novice DE online at the time in my guild, so I was able to get some storage compartmentspretty quickly for crafting. He's currently doing a factory run for me.

500cr per point seems to be pretty reasonable and I haven't had any complaints about pricing. The quality of the control unit and droid compartments don't seem to affect the number of points in the kits either, with this coming down squarely on the metal used (a good OQ/CN copper seems to work best and produces 8's and 10's fairly easily).

Using one point for the decal and one point for the chassis means an ordinary 6 use kit will do one persons allocation of 3 vehicles (which is rather cool btw - I love having all three vehicles out, all nicely coloured in front of the shop as a display )

How is that greedy? We gotta eat and buy materials,... right?

Actually,if you want to get technical, you don't HAVE to eat 3 to 4K for a vehical customization tool doesn't sound too bad to me. I don't think that would be an extravagent price to pay on Naritus. I'm more concerned about paying the money and then not having the customizations stick but I realize that is out of the hands of the artisans...
