Once you have Level 40 and at least Sword Defense III, you can use a Darstai'is Sickle, a looted sword from Kashyyyk. Stats are 291-583 damage, 2.64 speed, 165.53 base DPS. I dunno how that stacks up to post-CU Vibro Axes, or how easily you could get one, but it might be helpful. They at least look wicked-awesome.

700 max damage Sickle? Didn't realize they dropped with a range of stats.
