Thread: Artisan missions...where are the creds?
Holding my rifle which I am quite proficient in, I had targeted a creature and noticed the "con star" showed blue. I then switched to my dagger, which I am not very proficient in, and the "con star" switched to yellow. Perhaps the way in which the system rates you for combatis the same what it rates you for missions.

As the percentage of the material your looking for increases, so too does the value of the mission. Why what weapon your holding impacts this I have no idea, but it does appear so. As a carbineer I can get survey missions for $1,800 on about any planet, including Tatooine. So I get two of the same thing, for $3,600, and go find it. Once you find it the first time, at least 1,024 m away, you just run too and fro survey, terminal, survey, terminal! It can add up fairly fast, trick is finding a high % resource about 1,025 m from town limits!!

I'm mostly on Corellia outside Kor Vella and I get two artisan survey missions for between 1600 & 1800 each (I don't take the lower paying ones). The % they're looking for range from 65 to 70. Having previously surveyed out by my house for what's around I have waypoints to get those so I use it as a way to raise cash when I'm heading to my house to craft or do maintenance on extractors anyway.
I've done some crafting missions and they pay about as good a regular delivery missions without the chance to critically fail at the assembly (and thus botch the job). The XPs I got from those weren't really very comparable to what I got when I did the grinding thing but now I need specialized crafting XPs anyway so it doesn't help.
