Yep it is sounding like there is no decay on death, but still decay from use. Not sure though as I too have not been able to test much.
I have been hearing that all classes will be abe to place vendors. It may be that Traders will simply have the ability to place multiple vendors. Again, I have not been able to confirm this in TC yet.
