Thread: Tool Effectiveness

I've never seen a crafting tool much about a rating of 14. Private crafting stations can be experimented up to ? >70+ but the most I've seen so far are ratings of 40+. The rating just decreases the likelyhood of critical failures.

Until you get to be MA or architect, you might just want to purchase one at the Bazaar. I've seen 14.5+ crafting tools on sale for 3k

Thanks for the responses, I have noticed a difference in rating with using various minerals this time I'll try the copper and see what happens.

What you should do is look at the bottomright (I think ) of the schematic. there you will see what attribute determines the outcome of the product. As all productions need different attributes to be good items. There it should say some thing like 100% conductivity (like with all crafting tools) or something like 50% conductivity and 50% Overall Quality. Then you make a decision on what raw materials fits best. In this case a high conductivity copper would do since it can have the highest conductivity attribute in the game.

I believe the theoretical limit for private crafting stations is around 50.

Actually, if my formulas are even close to correct(which of course they are... to 6 decimals), then crafting stations have an absolute range of -45.0 to +45.0

I can make a 14.07 tool pretty regularly on a station with 40+ points.

ok guys but is the final product dependant of the quality of the crafting tool or/and the crafting station. I didn't mention any ... Am I right ?

Currently the maximum outcome of any product is based ONLY on the stats of the resources used.

A good crafting stations is believed to increase your odds of good experimentation, and lower the chances of bad experimentation. But of course, a great station will never get rid of a crit-failed experiment... tho on my +43.45 station crit fail is the only bad experimentation I get. (I only get these results myself: Crit Fail, Good Success, Great Success, Amazing Success, with the normal result of Great Success)

Tool effectiveness is still mostly an unknown, but is hinted at dealing with the actual combine success(the part where you can crit and lose your resources). TH mentioned something about this in the Droid Engineer forum, but of course it wasn't all that clear.

Archimast is right, there is some 1000 conductivity copper out recently, this will allow 15s to be made.

Made two of themlast night.

Hopefully it is on your server.

Look for Copper its always had some of the best conductivity matter of fact i'm harverting som 996 Conductivity copper on Bloodfin as we speak. i'm thinking mayby 7-8 credits per unit after all its rare to find such a high conductive copper laying around.

The going theory is higher rating means less crit fails.
