In my honest opinion, the prices most are asking for Bone Armor is pretty high considering Bone Armor is the lowest class of Armor out there. However, since it's the first armor that's become readily available it's going for those higher prices. Once more advanced armor starts hitting the bazaar the bone will start dropping in price and the cycle will start anew.... I'm just ticked that the prices for bone and hide are through the roof, not sure what that's all about. I can see upwards of 5 for 1 but some people are selling 10 units of hide for 1000, what is that? hahaha. The economy will eventually balance but I don't see that really starting to happen for probably another 6 weeks or so when the master artisans, weaponsmiths, armorsmiths, etc.start turning out in droves....

Then again, it's almost as easy as falling down to earn credits if you are willing to put some time into running missions.

I'd also like to put in a plug for "haggling", I can't tell you how many times someone asked me "how much you want for such-and-such an item?" and they'd walk away if the price was too high, rather than haggle with me. I'm flexible, we all are I'm sure to a certain degree....

I found that if you are more patient and don't put a "buy now" price you will get more patient buyers that actually look more carefully at your item. I think the "buy now" price puts too much pressure on people to lower prices. This way I avoid the"I want it now" crowd that buys the item name without even looking at the stats.

Another tip, rename your items. Don't take the base name completely out. Example : CDEF Pistol - Thundermouth CDEF. This catches the buyer's eye and forces him to look at the stats.

There are other tricks of the trade that I won'tbe revealing here right now.

Ack! Vecksis, you make baby Jesus cry!

Don't assist the economy in getting more imbalanced. Do that in a few months when we have a solid foundation, not when we're pouring the mix.

I love undersellers! I was in town at busy time selling Bone Armor when someone decided to sell in the same place for 1/3 the price. I immediately logged on another account and bought all he had then logged back andthanked him for the generous donation. I offered to buy his cheap products from now on but he seemed to have second thoughts.

Undersellers do not kill the economy instead its actually a very easy way to make a quick profit. If you are having trouble being competitive in your current spot then move the goods to a better planet to sell. Its only when everyone drops prices and sales slow down that you know the product is getting over abundant. Ifproducts degraded or broke a bit faster we may be able to make some sort of long termincome. But instead these new product bursts feel like dot.com surges and afterwards everything falls flat. I really don't think we will be able to make any cash at all in about 6 months unless products recycle and there is always a need for new ones.

Bone Armor Chest that costs 3000 are we insane?!

No, that is a very fair price. If you are mainly a hunter type class then i know destroy missions pay very well for little effort. So cash is definately there to buy it. you also get hides/bones for free and can also sell those as well. Now us pure Artisans for the most part have to buy our hides/bones and people are trying to charge insane prices for them now...seen up to 20credits each... but we are suppose to still sell the armor cheap eh? A few people are fortunate to get their resources for free and thus undersell us but I bet the average person has huge costs in buying hides and maintaining harvesters so we need the cash.

Anyway My bet is 6 months or less before we all become broke and useless given the current economic structure.

My fix- Make items degrade/brake/need repair much faster to keep constant demand for new ones.

regardless...

I dont seem to have a problem finding a market for my goods...

Im not the one activly promoting an artificial market price on goods because I cant sell my uber crap for 3000 credits.

Nobody is ruining any economy, there is no economy, you have to get what you can get from any price...

So....... whatever.

I dont understand what the fuss is about. Nobody is destroying a market when they sell below the going rate. At the same time nobody is damaging it by buying items to resell at a higher price. If you can do it power to you. Let people do what they want to do and figure out their own prices. its all about competition and profits. If they are sellign bellow profitable levels then they wont do so for long. If you are selling above the level people will pay then you wont actually sell anything.

Furthermore

If person A puts bonearmor on market for 20 creds and person B sells his for 1000 creds. person B can buy bonearmor A jsut like anyone else. Person A got the money he asked for and therefore is happy. Person B iustgot cheaper then value bonearmor to sell so he is happy. There is no way to kill an economy by shifting prices. Only supply and Demand shocks can kill economys. If a bug in the game takes out all resources for instance. So enjoy selling and sell at whatever price you want. Its your item and your money.

Im actually a financial Analyst so I do understand econ 101 and 201 and 301

Go a little further buy there stuff and destroy it not useage exp for them

No I do the same thing...bone armor 500 buy buy buy...relist for 3000 make 2500 each...I would not tell them. That stuff takes load of resorces and time to give it away....

The "FAD Economy" is a product of a true free market...you just have to stay ahead of the curve. A WS sold lvl 2 guns for 1/5 of my lvl one guns so I started making backpacks...so far the market has held up in those.

If a nation made Computer chips and sold them at a loss - (they are right now) a possable trade war will break out....that is what this post is talking about...a trade war...how much more Star Wars can u get!

This is a great idea, as of now items are so under priced its hard for an artisan to make very much money. This would work if enough artisans started to do this

I only have one question....Where do you guys find the time to worry about making money off the items you make? I am kept busy by my friends making them armour, weapons, what have ya. My skill goes up fast, I have alot of skills I am working on one (don't want to become to tunnel visioned). I understand wanting to make money and all, but I enjoy the craft and want to help my friends. I'm not no economic professor or anything, but I am having alot of fun doing this! and as an added bonus when I am healing in the med centeror cantina I am busy teaching, building appentice points, which is a must have for master in any profession. I make good stuff. If you are wondering where I am in the scope of things here are my certs...Engineering 4, surveying 4, domestic arts 1, exploration 1, hunting 1, survival 2, intermediat rifile pistol carbine and ranged weapon boster thing, advanced carbine, diagnostics 1, pharmocolgy 1...The peolple I hang with are all helpful too and have certs that help us! So I guess what I am trying to say is figure out what is going to make you happy and do it. Don't bad talk others because they are doing what they enjoy! If I ever find extas of what I can make in my inventory I will either find someone who needs it or sell it for what he going price is that day.

Have fun

I have to make money. I travel all over the galaxy for materials, and even a short jaunt to Naboo costs 1450 credits. If I don't have some income, then I have to stay on the same planet making the same junk weapons that everyone else is selling on the bazaar for 30 credits. I'd rather take a trip to Naboo and come back and sell 500 credit CDEFs than sit in town and destroy 30 credit CDEFs all day long, even if that way provides faster EXP.
