Thread: Can you say price increase? I knew ya could.
One thing to keep in mind when you raise the prices on what you are making and begin buying all your required resources. The people who usually farm all the materials will raise their prices. We all know this will be inevitable.
Expect to see more of this kinda stuff going into the game. I know Sony did not intend everyone to be Master such and such 3 weeks into the game. Sony has begun slowing the game down as they always do.

Well you guys do realize everything is now dependant on people actually buying artisan stuff at a desent price. Last I checked very few peole were willing to buy much of anything from us. A combat character is ready for a better weapons than a CDEF (or D18 for that matter) in only a few hours. (and don't get me started on power-ups or crafting/survey tools)
So we either sell a ton of stuff cheap, a few things for insane prices, or do tons and tonsof delivery missions.
Artisan/crafters I think is the most handicaped profession out there since we have to get tons of resources to make stuff to advance. While the stuff we make won't sell (usuallyin my experience at least). Do combat characters need to make several thousand creds per day just to break even? nope.
And for the record I always power and maintain my harvesters, so far being fedx man has kept me going. But it is starting to get really old.
First thing, bone armor for 500? That seems a little cheap even to begin with.I've sold CDEFs for that much. You're not even getting back the fair market value of the resources you put into it.
Secondly, I've been keeping up on my harvesting so far by paying maintenence.
Sorry. To continue my message, here's how you make money. In any business. Figure out your expenses for making an item (include resources at fair market value, harvester expenses, etc). Jack it up by a couple hundred credits for your time and effort. Check the bazaar and see if your prices are in line. If they're lower, so much the better. If they're higher, tone it down until you're losing money on the harvester upkeep. If you're any good, you should have a higher quality product than 3/4 of the people out there.
Thirdly, yes, they can say bye-bye to a lot of artisans. The ones that really didn't want to do it in the first place. This isn't EQ crafting or AC2 crafting. You don't just happen upon materials incidentally andtake it up as a side job, you have to commit to it and actually sell your products for a profit. I didn't master artisan before the patch, and I sure as hell am still going on to my elite professions.
