Thread: Fix your Vehicle Bug is STILL in this publish

Just a note to say...
as anyone els noticed that today the vehicle starport fix bug has been eliminated? It was still there yesterday - post patch, but today my swoop seemed not to fix itself... Anyone else care to confirm this? (or did I do something stupid)
At least for me, it generally only works when taking a shuttle to another planet. I have rarely seen this bug occur when just taking a shuttle between cities on the same planet.
I took up Master Artisan in an effort to run a business by building and selling vehicles.
I was told by the community that Publish 7 would eliminate this nasty self-heal bug and not to worry.
Publish 7 comes and the bug is still in the game.
Basically no one buys vehicles at all... no one even cares if they're destroyed since they knowhow tofix them.
SOE: PLEASE FIX THE AUTO-HEAL BUG.![]()
Yeah, I also agree that no one is likely to be banned for this. It seems to be very specifically accepted by the Devs, they're leaving it in as a feature while they iron out garages
My issue is how are we meant to know what are bannable cheat exploits and what are acceptable "features"?
Seems pretty much the same to me to go "cool, my bike auto-heals when i leave it out" and "cool I can get another slice on this sliced weapon" (an instaban offence)

Regardless of this bug I've been selling vehicles steadily (around 3-5 a week, since the hitpoint bug has been fixed). Isell High Durability vehicles (96%forapprox 10cpu). In the item description field I paste info stating the hitpoints that the vehicle will have when generated and why it makes sense to buy a high durability vehicle, I've gotten a number of emails from customers stating that they were fed up with cheap vehiclesand very happy with their purchase.
People get tired of having to repair their vehicles every couple hours (even if it's with a bug), & they don't like leaving a trail of smoke behind them.
I think that more important than fixing this bug is to have the percent achieved during experimentation, hitpoints and other data listed on the deeds. Also once the vehicle is generated it should have the name of the crafter in the examine window.
I think that that would do more for selling vehicles than fixing the starport bug.
Iwouldn't expect to get rich selling vehicles,as others have stated in this thread youcould make moreby selling themineralsdirectly. However I feel that if you craft High Durability vehicles people will buy them.
Howdy all
The shuttleport vehicle fix is not an exploit. TH himself said they left it that way because of the lack of player garages on remote planets. He did mention though that after garages are available to player cities (which they are now) that this would be addressed. They needed to get the player garages in the game, allow multiple vehicles in datapad and to be able to bring out your vehicle with out having to have a camp.
Now that all this is in the game expect to see the shuttleport fix to go away. Most likely in next patch so as to allow cities timeto place garages.
The garage prices arecurrently waaaaaay too high IMO so I'm in no hurry to see this fixed. A few repairs on my speeder equals the amountI paid for it. That's kinda like 3 oil changes on your SUV costing $10,000 each. No thanks ![]()

Don'y play the ignorant fool, People aren't that dumb are they? The big reason people use this exploit is because:
Decay is rediculous on bikes, sometimes you can't tell the HPs on a bike when you buy it (so you don't know the quality and can't tell you're buying a crappy bike), many times storing vehicles is bugged (I've came to a starport many times and couldn't store my bike), garages aren't everywhere (tack on the cost of a couple shuttle hops), in PvP they can be destroyed in one shot... I think that's enough
Now,there is a night-and-day difference between this and say the "slice" exploit. Its not like using weapons was bugged to heck like bikes. "My freaking weapon doesn't work right, I need it sliced again." "Stupid weapon is useless after one day!? I think I'll get it sliced again." "What do you mean I need to take 3 shuttle trips to re-enable my weapon, I think I'll just get it sliced again..."
See what I mean. The "slice" exploit is a rather obvious exploit that had absolutely no logical backing for it's usage besides pure 100% exploitation.

Heh, maybe you just got a really excellent deal on your speeder?
