What exactly do you have to have to get above the 900 credits mark? My little chef has decided that since her cooking is taking awhile, she might as well use the skill points for something else in the meantime. (She took up marksman.) Do I have to be a novice pistoleer or something to get the first change? {{I should've taken up one-handed weapons so that I could be an Iron Chef with sword, but I'd already gone into pistol when I decided to take up the chef trade.]]

I do hope they fix the survey missions to reflect one's level in artisan-based skills (or surveying, at least).

Ah, nevermind. I saw it in another thread.

You have to be tier 4 to get the higher payout. Almost-pistoleer, here I come! I want more varied survey missions with better payouts. Makes it more interesting and reimburses me better for my professional skills.

Baby Anne, a inspiring image designer, with enough artisan skill to make a hankie (novice with no rank I's) and NO weapon skills, walk to artisan terminal and gets XXX cr missions.

BigMamma Tina, a master polearm (polearm IV), master ARTISAN walks to artisan terminal and gets XXX cr missions.

If rewards for artisan crafting missions are determined by weapon skill, POLEARM doesn't count.

Tina even got herself a CRITICAL failure today on one of her crating missions. For pete's sake, if SOE is not going to reward a artisan for learning her trade, at least make it so she doesn't FAIL.

Missions should be off of the skill related instead of weapon skill. That is my little pet peve right now since one of my friends is a pistoleer and gets better survey missions while I am a master artisan. If you do not have survey you should not be allowed to take the missions in the first place.

A skilled Artisan and Surveyor ... but gets cheapo payment for Artisan mission?

Please don't check for weapon equipped but check for Survey skills or Crafting skills.

I am a crafter. I spend my time crafting, not killing mobs.
Heck it takes 70,000 xp to get to Tier 4 Marskman skills. That means I must abandon the time spent on crafting and hunt like mad!

The only thing I feel needs fixing is that the payouts should be based on artisan skill not weapon skill. Range of 1024 is fine, I am a master artisan and almost master pistoleer so it doesnt bother me in anyway but in all fairness it should be equal to Artisan skill level.

I feel like an old SWG'er but it beats the hell out of the delivery missions that paid like avg1200 for walking all through the towns to find these people.
