Ohh my people think these are a waste of money?? hmm i sell a crate of these droids for 15k and crates of survey tools for 100c per tool. thats 50 uses aka 50 planet hops. soo for about 25k the cost of one round the galaxie hop i can survey for 5 days.. thats a savings of 100k soo i have no idea why these people say they are useless.

As for Swgcraft.. there are soo many things i find that never even make it to swgcraft let alone show up late.

the survey drones are cake to make.take2 parts and a couple resorces, and really quality doesntmatter that much, though will stack some extra uses..I launch um just about every day.. It helps me track resorces. Also they are great to launch to outer rim planets like dath, yavin, hell even send one to tat when your on naboo to see if that floral or gas you have been mining has shifted.

To me these are the best things since they added vehilces, god that run from my place in the mountains 6k from the keran starport was one long a$$ haul to grab something outta the bank.. cant tell you how many times i ended up forgetting what i went there to get by the time i got there 25 mins later /frown.

I can generally hit 3 planets to update my entire mineral list using these things..

chem/gas i dont usually check seeing they are generally the same on all the planets.. well check naboo, corelia and tat and you generally have the list though you can miss something here and there.

Fiberplast, they aer usefull for checking if something shifted.. same with floral

As for tracking floral with them that is useless as every planet is different and there is generally something shifting everyday on every planet,, or at least every other day. It does help you update lists though.. and nice to target track single speicals like say dant berries you have been waiting for to shift

Stop hating my droids!

These simply allow you to check other planets to see if a specific resource you seek has spawned there.

For example, if you are an armorsmith looking for Colat Iron, you send out your droids to see if its spawned anywhere. If you find it, you travel to check it out.

The only thing I hate about it is that it uses up survey tools. Smart artisans may want to make available factory crates of survey tools....

yes you buy them in stacks of 10-12 (more or less) you also need a surveying tool for droid to work (cheap resources for these).

All the info you get back in the e-mail is the class and type of resources (no stat's).

I have harvesters on 2-4 planets talus water, lok wild wheat, dantooine berry fruit (doc items) or on some high quality resources.

I use the droids to check staus of the resource I'm harvesting if it shifts out I go to planet change resource or move harvester to another planet.

It's cheaper to use droids then to fly to all the planets everyday.

While they are not useless, they should be more useful than they are. Since the droid has a survey tool it should be able to determine the stats for the minerals, etc. that it detects. Thiswould make themtruly useful.

If they gave me stats I'd use them. Until then, they're only useful to know that a resource you thought you were harvesting is now gone.
