I dunno but wouldn't it be nice if instead of the pesky "you have bought you item here please pick it up" because everyone knows that wouldn't it be nice for the email to contain a personalized thank you for puchasing. Of course these would be sent out only once per time you open the vendor so for exampel i open up vendor X perchase two crates of muon i will only get one letter saying thank you. I dunno might be nice I remember getting one thank you before from a guy when i bought some mabrai boots lol.

s a novice crafter of any type, it is hard to make money. Most people just go and buy from masters, and lets face it the artisan "missions" aren't really worth it. I think it would be cool if there was something like a Job system, where an NPC could hire you to build something, and you'd have to build a certain amount of something each day. Depending on the difficutly of the item you could be payed a certain amount. As an example, If you were a Novice Artisan an NPC could hire you to make like 10 Wind Surveying Devices a day for maybe like 1000 creds a day or so. Or maybe if you are a Novice Armor Smith, you have to make 2 sets of Mabari Armor a day and get payed according to that etc. etc.

Hey,

Have you taken a look at the top 5 sticked above? Especially number 4.

Would that be what you were talking about?

Take care,

Not a bad idea, but I have to disagree with the notion that crafting missions aren't "worth it".

Try this: Hop the next shuttle to anchorhead. When you get there, check the artisan terminal. Select crafting missions, and choose 2 of the highest, making sure they are located in the same direction and are fairly close in price. (I usually get somewhere around 800-900 credits per mission.) Now, when you talk to the NPC's and get the parts, check your world map. Unless this is just happening to me, both waypoints should be located in Bestine. Deliver the goods and find the Bestine artisan terminals. Do the same as you did in Anchorhead, selecting 2 similar missions. Get the goods and hop the next shuttle back to Anchorhead, which should be the destination this time around.

Rinse and repeat. It doesn't take long at all, and it's basically like getting a double payout this way. Sometimes, the npc's are standing right next to each other. At 800-900 credits per mission, you stand to make 1600-1800 credits, minus about 300 credits travel expenses. 1300-1500 isn't too shabby for no-risk 5-minute jobs.

Argh... Can't edit.

I do like your idea about a job system though. Or, they could at least place npc's that buy armor like the junk dealers buy junk. It does kind of suck, using all your resources and not having a dime to show for it. lol

I think it would be cooler if non-masters could produce sub-components that were worthwile. For example, an "apprentice" WS should be able to make really good barrels for the "master" ws to use in his guns.

Sif | Sigrún | Zondor | Gorgeth | -=Valkyrie Materials=- & [Valkyrie] Weapons
North Coronet Mall (244, -3540) - Weapons
South Coronet Mall (-100, -5760) - Resources

Theed, Naboo (-4370, 3425) - Powerups

I totally agree with something like this. Additionally, I wish they ould put up some sort of bulletin board system where players could post want ads for these such items. An Architect should not have waste time and AP to grind out light power cores, which is a MA scem., so he he can make houses. Sure people can use factories to make these items but there are those of us who like crafting and want to make useful good products and not just hologrind and use factories.

Didn't know where to put this so I guessed here was good as any. I know that the devs put in the resource meter/helper for when you are using resources to craft items so you can gage which resource is better and I like that idea. I wondered if the devs could take it another step further and help us out by giving another new perk like resource highlighting so that when you put a schematic into a factory the resources needed for that factory run are highlighted. Was fiddling around on my WS today trying to make some nukers and found it troubling sorting through the resource names and all. Is this a good idea or just a waste of a post?

After tooling around with DE onTC2 and the other serverand running multiple factories at once I think it'd be a good idea if there was a conceivable way to implement it, but this might be the wrong forum for this idea. I have an idea on how to get your idea some attention though.

well give me a shout about it. The practical way I see it being used is when you are at your factory you insert the schematic into your factory it will high light the resources you have and then maybe if you examine the resource how much you will need incase you have that resource tied to another schematic. Making some imperial detonators and I know I don't have enough resources for 1 schematic.
