I think this is the correct forum, I acquired a mineral recycler schematic, and from what I read I just want to clarify that I am correct in what it is used for. Basically it will turn any resource into a "crap" or "grinding" resource with all 200 stats. Am I correct?
Also does the 2 extra experimentation points yield that much better results at master artisan?

Recyclers are also gold for making schematics where resource quality isn't important.
Without recycler:
-Make a schematic for something using "axidefsj" copper.
Without recycler:
-Make a schematic for something using "axidefsj" copper.
-When you run out of "axidefsj" copper, your schematic is useless.
With recycler:
With recycler:
-Make a schematic for something using "smelted copper."
-When you run out of "smelted copper" put some other random copper in your recycler and get more smelted copper from it.
-Continue using your schematic until you've used it up.
I did this with furniture.
I made 1000 item schematics from recycled resources and stored them in a droid.
Whenever I need to make a factory run, I pull out a schematic, throw in some recycled materials, and make as many more as I need.
It's true that I could make a new schematic every time but that wastes the resources to make one item every time I make it.

All I really wish is that the chemical recycler would turn out inert petrochemicals and fiberplast. As is, both get's converted into "chemical" which none of the tailor schematics I was planning on using them in will take. Am yet to figure out which item could possibly use large amounts of "chemical" (Anyone?).
The creature and metal, especially the creature, are proving quite invaluable though. I harvest hides with my other characters while doing the odd bits of hunting, and I can use them all, no matter the size of the stack, thanks to that recycler.
