A BARC is pretty nice. You get the speed of a swoop, the turning ability of a speeder, and it's silent. Being able to buy repair kits for it means that if a kimo eats yours you can repair it on the spot and not have to hoof it back to town. I just did the Mos Entha race today with my BARC and had a time of 558 I think - first time i'd raced, 2nd run on that track. As far as climbing ability it doesn't seem bad, but I haven't tested it against others.

My speed tests show that the XP-38, V-35 and AB-1 Landspeeders have the same level, straight-line speed (both Fast and Slow)as does the X-34 Landspeeder.

The Av-21, the Jetpack, and the BARC speeder are all the same speed on flat ground and un even terrain..Ive tested this with friends. So that would make spending the big bucks ( or 30 bucks for the barc) a little more worthwhile...but which one is worth it the most? I would say the BARC Speeder since you can drive it ANYWHERE on ANY planet...if it gets disable it youve got a BARC repair kit, you cant do that with the av or jetpack. But the BARC cannot be obtained at all in game ( unless you buy it from someone in game) you need to spend 30 bucks(which isnt alot really, considering you get 3 damn games and you can create another account).

I can confirm this, tested it in front of Theed starport on TC. All acceleration and speed were equal.
The Flash speeder outran the new landspeeders, but didn't compare any other vehicles.
