I haven't tried this, so I haven't noticed the problem ... what I HAVE noticed is order changes in inventory and datapad. My waypoints were in the same order and the new ones showed up at the bottom ... not any more! It's anybody's guess where a new item in the inventory will be, maybe the end, maybe not...

if your in the process of grinding please keep in mind every box you train in will add stuff as you go. Especially after a reset or a complete log out the new items will intergrate at that time. I basically would just count from the new item say its number 25 if its 15 away it should be around item 40 then hope this helps

hmm, my previous solution to the problem, wasn't the problem at all.
Looks like with the resorting of inventory they resorted schematics as well. As far as I can tell the only way to find the schematic you want to use is to guess and hope you eventually get the right one. Don't think there is any logical numbering sequence anymore.
Thank god, I'm not grinding any crafter skill.

Haha... if only the devs had known... all they had to do to put a crimp on holo grinding was give us the ability to sort our icons and we'd mess ourselves up.
I did some experimenting with this last night and I also wasn't able to find any pattern to the numbering system. I'll play with it some more then next time I'm online just to give it a fresh try.
On a side note, being able to sort our inventory... okay, quasi neat idea, but I don'tknow many people that care for the way it was implemented. Give me the ability to put things where I want them and I'll cheer for this patch. At the very least give us the ability to go back to the default method because this new system has me looking all over the place trying to figure out what happened to my stuff.

Ok guys, I'm not new to this. I have been playing the game since almost day one. I use to be able to count schems even with multiple professions by just looking at the datapad. What I am saying is that that is no longer possible. I will use schem 03 in the macroand get a schem from the sixth row somewhere looking at the datapad. Something has changed!!
If you're not new to this, and you've been playing for so very long, then you must be aware of the fact that occasionally they do Publishes to the game.
This very latest one put in a sort of the inventory, and it also affects the datapad. The datapad has resorted itself.
Counting schems is useless for finding the schem number now. It's hit and miss and somewhat random.
I'd be interested to know if anyone gets solid evidence that the datapad continually resorts itself. I think it used to randomly before, if you opened your datapad after finding the right number.

It seems that the current sortorder you have choosed does not affect the schematic number it show the same number no matter which order on the datapad. Soemthign else have changed the ordering of schematics (maybe there is a reason they have added this sorting thing. Devs might have changed somethign that affect the ordering and instead of having people complain that things are not in the order they want it they hide it by adding the sticky sorting lol)
Pain to find the schem number now. Going to write a macro to test numbers for me.

It looks that some schematics now has a negative number. I could not find projectile rifle barrel. Then I pulled out my crafting droid and then it was schem 1. Tried -1 and there it was!

all i know is when i loot something its a total pain in the A$$ to find where the heck it went.. i keep finding random crap in my inventory and im like where the heckdid that come from, the only solution i have found is to carry another back pack and put 90% of my stuff in there.. just to hide it from main inventory, but thats not healing the wound its only putting a bandaide on it.. Atleast the old way inventory may have sucked but atleast it all stayed in the same order,, and you could sort it buy putting stuff in a pack and then taking it out in the order you want, but now its all screwed up.. leave it to soe to botch somthing more than it was already botched...
But instead of fixing inventory, how about fix that darn spawns on RORI !

the schematic numbers are changing what seems like randomly, they just don't seem to stay the same. I was trying to craft ABEC's this morning at one point the schematic# was 34, then it was 5, then 15, then 27 ect...it didn't stay consistant even tho I hadn't moved nor logged. logging of corse doesn't fix the problem. seriously repetitive momvent injuries are real and crafting will give you carpal tunnel if your not careful. this is just stupid.

Yeah, its totally borked now, my Advanced droid frame unit is the 2second for the wgd and it shows a droid frame with 1, that is on my 9th line or something. The way this is they decided crafters needs a screw over and any attempt at grinding the fs trees came to an immidiate halt for me..only another um..11lines to go..guess they'll sit until someone fixes this screwup over inventory/schematic/whatever the hell else they decided to rearrange for us patch.
