Thread: best xp?
I started hunting giant carrion spats on corellia as a tk 0/0/1/1. They were giving around 1800 xp per kill for me.
Now, I'm 0/2/3/2 and I prefer to kill giant dalyrakes. They die fast using unarmed2 and I still get around 1300xp for them. I made just over 300k UNARMED xp in a little over 5 hours last night. I can /med out any poison they deal, so that shouldn't be a problem even for a fairly novice tka.
I won't say my classes atm, but my current melee defense is 49.
To be successful in fast burning the xp trees, you just need to learn to pull single, agressive creatures. non-agro creatures are much harder as they love to assist each other once you attack, though it can still be done =)
I did Unarmed 1-3 outside cities on starter planets, I did Unarmed 4 and got the 125k needed for Novice on the medium planets (Rori and Talus) by just killing anything I thought I could handle.
Get yourself some VK's if you haven't already, although you aren't certified you will hit much faster and will be able to kill tougher creatures using them and a combination of intimidate, warcry, and berserk.
Good luck and good hunting.
Starting out find stuff that does the least damage to you while giving the most XP... I probably killed a million Capper Spineflaps while trying to get unarmed 4.
Um anyone who has studied the classes and can add can figure out what other classes you are Mr 49 melee def... There are others doing the same as you.
Having just been through this [just shy of Master Artisan this morning, should have it by noon, and then Novice Architect by tonight, latest.], I'd like to chime in.
First tip, do only those things that require a single crafting pass. That is, don't do anything that needs sub-components that have to be crafted seperately. Since this is all grinding XP, quality is irrelevant. Buy/sample/harvest what is plentiful and cheapest/easiest to get. Use practice mode. It doesn't add much but since XP is all you are interested in, every little bit helps.
For most things, XP= 2x resources used. This breaks down a bit on some things [like harvestors] but is a good general rule. The more resources an item needs to be crafted, the more XP you get for crafting it. Item complexitymay factor in on this but if it does, it'sfairly subtle.
Step 1 - Crafting tools [except general crafting tools, it uses less resources than the specialized tools]. Buy/sample the necessary minerals/metals/chemicals. Easily get to Survey I/II with the sampling. If I recall correctly, you get something like 70-80 XP for a weapon/droid/general craft tool. If you're quick on the mouse, you can do two at once [using two tools of course]. Be careful though, you'll need to be quick to finish the second one before the first one finishes or else you'll get the dreaded 'this craft session has ended' error and lose your materials.
Step 2 - Get to Dom I and then do Hide Boots. You'll need to have sampled a good supply of inert petrochemicals and bought/harvested a good supply of hides. You can use this to power your way to up Eng III. You should also reach Survey III with this.
Step 3 - Get to Eng III and then make Harvestors. I chose Wind Harvestors due to the reduced Steel requirement. You get 446 XP per shot with these. With a quick mouse hand, you can easily do two at once and perhaps even 3 at once if you are truly a uber crafting god [me, I'm lucky to get 2 done at once].
Step 4 - Profit!
Hope that helps.
