I know SL XP is based on Combat XP. But do I get the total amount of combat XP earned as my SL XP or is there another system for getting the amount of XP you get?

Originally Squad Leader XP was calculated on the following formula: (Combat XP earned by the SL) * (#of people in group) * 2 = Squad Leadership XP.

The new formula is a bit of an unknown but basically it is: (Combat related XP earned by the entire group) * (#of people in group) * (some as yet unknown multiplier that is likely to change in the future) = SLXP

Basically this means that the larger your group is, and the more your group is killing, the more xp you'll earn. The current rate of xp gain is really too fast at this point, so expect it to be reduced at some point in the future...but the basic formula should stay the same.

From my experience, pets and faction pets do act to increase the group size mutlitplier, but you will not get credit for damage done by them, unlike a regular player. When grouped with just one pet I, get about 2x my combat xp. When grouped with 1 pet and three faction pets I get about 80% of my rifle xp.

But this is still a relatively slow way to level compared to group with 5 or 6 players and pets. On one hunt, I was getting about 20k per kill the group made, regardless of whether I did any damage. The biggest limiting factor currently is the xp cap. In a big group hunting tough mobs, you will likely hit the cap several times in night, that is if you can find someone to train you. Often, Im the only Squad Leader on Dantooine.

I agree with Thulium on this point, xp rate should and will likley be changed when the Devs give some attention to Squad Leaders. When that will actually occur is another matter.

Good luck.

Just had a few basic questions about getting xp with this profession. Btw, i have read the merchant guide that was posted on here.

1. Which would give more experience,3 houses each with a vendor, or 3 vendors in a commonly used location (cantinain our city).

2. If i am using the cantina thatI am not the owner of and the access fee goes to someone else (ie I am an admin), am i still getting exp for this?

3. Will I increase my exp by having a secondary character sit in the cantina/house 24/7?

4. Is there anyway to speed this profession up a bit? I am averaging about 10k/day, at this rate it will take over a month

5. Does a higher access fee or increased price of sales have anything to do with exp?

Thanks and sorry if any of these questions have been answered elsewhere.

Still leaves me with 2 questions.....

1. Is there a macro one can set up to browse a vendor?

2. Do you only get exp once every 10 min for browsing vendors in a certain location, or once for each vendor every 10 min?

Gracias

I am going to craft master artisan and then Master DE.

I know what it takes from Noivce De to master.

I don't know what it takes to go from noivce artisan to Master. I know i have to get survey xp, but I am mainly worried about the crafting side.

Here is my plan

1.Eng 1 -3 crafting wind survey tools.

2. Rest of artisan crafing with Personal mineral extractors.

3.get to Novice DE with Personal Mineral extractors.

1. I will have to do 4500 xpto reach 2.

2. I will have 27k xp to reach 3.

3. I will have to do 28k xp to reach NoviceDe

My question is how much xp do I get from thosewind surveytool and thePersonal Mineral Extractor so I can figure out what I need to grind it.If I know the xp amount , I can figure how many I need to make. I can then figure out how many resources I need. I will be making everything in pratice mode, so if you can give me the exact amount of xp that would be great. I believe the PME are 417 xp but I am not sure.

If you make wind survey tools they give 37 xp if you use the practice mode. the wind generators are around 450 xp (not sure but close).

Not sure if that was a typo, but it's only +5%. Plus, practice modedoesn't actually make the item, so if you're making stuff just for xp, you don't have to worry about deleting the useless items from your inventory every so often.

Can't get in game right now but if I remember correctly the last time I crafted a survey tool in practice mode I think it was around 55 xp (though I did mineral ones and can't remember if they all give the same xp).

If you have the resources available I'd also recommend doing vehicles to get that Novice box for DE. I can't remember exactly how many I made but it was between 15 - 20 vehicles.
