I agree that it would be a nice perk for anyone with the survey tree to get some extra lots towards the top. However I disagree with those who have said that no one else bothers to learn that tree other than master artisans. I know plenty of non-master artisan crafters who refuse to drop the survey line because it makes mining your own resources much easier.
