I'm an odd ball. I didn't want to grind so I just made items and put them on the bazaar and sold them. It took me a month and a half, but I got to an elite profession.

About a week ago I put a few bone pieces on the bazaar the breast plate I sold for 1600 credits. It sold in a few hours. The other pieces of that armor suit I put on the bazaar at similar costs/resource also sold in a few hours. 90% of the items on the bazaar was going for 300 credits, but it was pure junk.

Not every person who plays this game can afford 50-100k suits of armor. There are markets out there and items do sell.

You will soon be able to make harvesters, and those sell too, that will give quite a bit of artisan exp. At that point, it just might be too easy to climb the artisan tree.

No one is asking to begin at an elite profession. I think that what people do want are things that are useful and will sale on the market. The funny thing is that each server is different. Even though bone armor may not sell on my server, it sells on others very well. Why this happens, I do not know. I do agree with the original poster that making stuff should be fun. I don't necessarily enjoy the grind, but I understand how that in turn helps to drive the economy. I do not mind making bone armor chest pieces to grind through the Gen Crafting Exp though ... it could be worse like some others said. I could be trying to grind through gcexp by making items with 80 exp instead of 510.

I thought that getting Master Artisan was pretty easy... How did I do it you ask? Lots and lots of fireworks... Each firework is worth 28 exp... If you have like 4 crafting tools that can make them, it levels really fast... The resources for them are easy to come by also... 6 metal, 6 chemical, and 2 gas... And if you get bored of crafting over and over again... You can always just go out and do some faction missions... Each mission avg. about 45 faction points per mission (2 enemies and 1 lair)... And if you are Rebel, and you're in Anchorhead; it will go by very quickly... The thing that took me the longest to get Master Artisan is stupid Apprentence Points... It seems like every **edit** Artisan just goes up the Engineering Tree... When they might need some of the stuff that comes from Master Artisn (ie. Control Panel)...

Kisedd,

That's the whole point we don't get artisan (ie general crafting) xp when we make harvesters.

I figure that it is very simple. If an artisan makes it - he should get artisan xp. If an architect makes it He should get architectual (ie structure) xp. Even if it is the same item being made.
