The best way to stop a macro is to never start one in the first place.

Then I want to see all of you dancers stop using hotkeys since they are esentially a macro, and no hotkeys for changing multiple clothing items.

Just taking it to the logical extreme. Macros are not cheating. They are not inherently bad. Just like a chicken bone is not inherantly bad. It's all in how it is used. Use the chicken bone for a soup stock... or choke on it. But do not blame the chicken bone.

It's not the macro's that upset the majority of us dancers, it's the AFK macrotainers who stay in the cantina with the big ole fat AFK over their head spamming for tips every 45 seconds. I walked into Coronet today and had to yet put ANOTHER dancer on my /addignore list. Seems that is all my ignore list is composed of are the AFK spammer macroholotainers.

They already did. It's /dump. If you put this on a hotkey you might want to do it twice though (/dump;/dump) because it doesn't always work the first time.

Yesterday, someone explained to me how to make a macro that loops. I found this to be wonderful, as I can now keep up with the conversations around me without wearing my hands out typing "/flourish 5" every few seconds. However, there was no explanation on how to turn it off, and by the time I realized that I wanted to, the person who explained it was gone. Could anyone help me out with this? It's kind of annoying to see "You must be dancing or playing music to perform a flourish.", or whatever it is that the game says, when I just want to go see what's on the bazaar. Thank you.

The command /dump will stop all running macros or aliases.

/dump

or

/dump all

sometimes just dumping doesn't work for some reason, so using the dump all takes care of it

Also of note you can place the Flourishes into a toolbar so insteand of typing out /flo 1 you could just hit F1-F8

But yes /dump will dump all currently running macros.

Note the underlying assumption that the only alternative to a recursive macro is typing in the commands by hand...

Aye, a macro will end itself if it doesn't specifically recall itself at the end of the macro. Just to let you know...

(I would consider a single hotkey to be a 'macro' as well. You can always hit Ctrl+A, select your Flourish numbers from the "Other" tab, and drag them up to your toolbar.)
