the first two answer is yes....

The yield rate is based upon the quality resource used to create the harvester and the experimental point place in them.

Things are a little unclear about factory xp. Most people report that factories aren't giving any xp, and those that are seeing xp I suspect are gettting usage xp. Right after release, factories were giving 100% of the xp you'd get hand-crafting, but that was claimed to have been reduced to 10%. Whether or not the current 0% was by design (and I missed a patch note), or a bug I don't know.

If you are the owner of the factory, then yes you get crafting experience.

• You must be in close proximity to the factory.


• You receive about 10% of the normal crafting experience.

This is a bit iffy, but the last time I checked that was how it worked. (I have since maxed exp so don't see the increasese)

1. No, you don't get XP for harvesting done by your harvester.

2. No, anyone can place a harvester, but you need to have surveying if you don't want to guess where to put your harvester. That or just drop a harvester down next to somebody elses harvester and find out what they're harvesting that way.

3. Yield rates will be calculated based on the percentage of consentration of the resource times the base extraction rate of the harvester in question. The problem is that a survey tool rounds the consentration percentage...
