Yes. Sale-able data items (datapads, datadisks) are deffinately needed in the game. I will mention this at the first opportunity.

I might just compile a big list of craftable items and give it to TH.

Thanks Eriha for mentioning the existing ways to manage email within SWG. I was aware of those commands but this was a good reminder and a great introduction to those that were not aware of them.

And thanks Vaedross. I really hope the devs will take note of this and the many other great ideas being put forth by players on this forum and others.

This is a pretty good idea Reavus, however SOE is already thinking of limiting vendor items due to database limitations. Since their system can't even provide enough storage space for vendor items, I seriously doubt they would implement something like this. It is a shame that good ideas will never see the light of day because SOE wasn't prepared for the amount of data needed for this game.

It was my understanding that the changes to vendors as well as the bazaar cap increase were to break monopolies in-game, not because of database issues (see "ID#2: Two Changes to Bazaars and Vendors").

Now to further this idea and enable a sort of "mass-production" of data disks (not blank) we could add yet another device; a data encoder terminal, which could work similar to factories yet be placed inside a house. Simply load the data disk in one slot (source) and blank disks in another slot (target), and start the terminal.

My guild mates and I were discussing the idea of using blank disks for Charter information as well as a roster. Does anyone know if the DEVs have given any words about craftable data disks?
