I am thinking of setting up a second character so I can make some credits and was thinking of Artisan. In fact i was going to try to complete surveying and get a harvester and sell resources to other Artisans, WS, AS etc

Asmy first character was fairly well off I bought a deed to get a harvestor to be self powered and wanted to know the best harvester to get in order to get the most out of this deed. Also I was wondering if there was a list of what resources are needed for what so I know what to bother harvesting and also so I can divide the resources up when I get some vendors.

Lastly I presume Artisan can get vendors or do you have to be a merchant for that?

Any info would be gratefully received.

Thanks!

First to answer the question about merchants. You just need business III in the artisan skill tree to get a vendor. As for what harvester to use the self power on I would say a heavy mineral harvester. But that is my opinion becuase I use minerals mostly. What resources should you concentrate on selling. I would check out swgcraft.com and look through the skill trees. It will tell you what resources are needed for each schematic. Also ask artisans, AS, WS, DE, etc what they need. I personally use steel, copper, and aluminum for my droids and their components. Other professions require other resources so it verys. I hope this helps out.

I agree with everything Baryn say's, one thing to look for when you get a heavy harv is that its BER rate is as high as possible. If I was going to add a power free reward onto the harv I would ensure it was a BER13 heavy harv.

When you redeed the harvester that the power free thingie has been used on, you get back the power free deed to use again on another harvester, or the same one again.

If you really are after money,I would buy the biggest chemical extractor I could find (BER 13) and pull all the tattooine fiberplast you can find. Doctors have more cach than more other crafters so you will always move that product. Also, you can sell it for much more CPU than just about any other resource (non-organic).
