I am doing artisian on another account, and it was the first time I started practicing to get to higher boxes - when I started seeing this end session stuff. It pisses me off to no end. They want us to take years to hit master instead of a couple months. It sucks and which is why as soon as I master Artisian, I'm gonna make myself a few vehicles and whatever else I need, and drop it for a non-crafting profession. B/c this just sucks.

When doing Food, Weapons or Armor, I did not have this bug, but using the General tool and attempting to grind more tools (in practice mode) either manually or with a macro, I get this error every run. So.... grinding my Master Chef was no problem and Master Armorsmith was no problem, but the boxes in Artisan itself were a major pain in the butt.

Like a few others have stated, I also have noticed this only happens when making crafting tools. Last night I was able to run 3 food crafting stations just fine. But if I tried to run a gen. crafting tool, or the specialized gen. crafting tool and make crafting stations, I would get the Crafting Session Has Ended error.

I bet if you tried something else, you'd be able to PL through it easier.

I've had this problem off and on, and that explanation is pure BS!

The CSR assumed that you were crafting a particular item, when you were not.

That's the first clue that it's a quick cut & paste answer instead of actually gathering more information.

HOWEVER, SOE has stated that CSR tickets are for issues where you are stuck and cannot continue playing (as one example).

So you need to /bug this instead of engaging a CSR - they don't havethe answers.

This problem started for me when I switched to a new server, which seemed VERY strange.

And it was more pronounced while I was running back and forth doing missions, but hardly ever happened when I was standing at a terminal, and NEVER happened while I was standing at a public crafting station.

I was not using any macros.

I /bug'ed it and a short while after that it became less pronounced, but still happenes once in a while.

Now I'm using a 'finishing' macro just so I don't have to hit all those Next buttons after I fill the ingredients, using 6 WDG tools, using both a practice macro and a create item macro, not near any crafting station, and grinding ANY item.

It may happen when one crafting station finishes crafting, it may be that there are still crits while using a macro, I don't know about that.

But the answer that "This is working as intended" is pure, unadulterated, make believe BS.

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, How can we do this and not make another EQ? We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."

I had this problem as well.....but found a solution to the problem. Check to see if u are near any crafting stations. If u are......go far away from it and try again. Ive had this problem everytime I was near a crafting station, but when Im not....all seems to work fine. Let me know how it turns out for u.

Come on man your pissed that you can't grind crafting tools? Its not stupid it forces you to, o I don't know, GRIND AN OBJECT THAT IS SPECIFIC TO YOUR PROFESSION, Dude it takes like 15 min to grind cdef rifles up to the point where you can craft statues, Then you spend another 30 min grinding them up to master artisan. Its not a big deal man it just a safeguard to keep ppl from powergaming, live with it. its not a big deal.

So what if I have no intention of being a dedicated artisan? That is my prerogative, I paid for the game, if I want to "powerlevel" my way through a worthless (in my eyes) profession then so what?

Good you'll have no problem with me stealing you kills, exploiting, farming faction points off the helpless, farming credits and making your professions worthless by selling my products dirt cheap because I cheated to get them? I mean I do pay to play it is my prerogative.

Shut up man sure you pay but by buying the game you agree to a certain set of rules set up by the devs to make things better for all of us, follow them or leave its that simple.

I have two comments on this...

First, I have ground every crafting profession at least once using macros. I had this happen to me only a few times. It was a while ago and I don't remember what I did to correct it. Fiddle with your timings, maybe that will solve it.

Second, that CSR response sounds like canned text that a computer would feed a native Hindu speaker. SOE's CSR staff has been or is in the process of being relocated to India. In all likelihood, this means that the focus of the CSR staff will be on hanging up the phone as quickly as possible rather than actually solving your problem. I don't havea solution to this particular issue, other than maybe writing to SOE senior management and/or cancelling subscriptions.
