Thread: Usage XP
There are still many issues with UXP, and people being online/offline, as well as server boundaries.
We don't always get it (some people have a much worse time than others). The devs do know about it though.

i sell a ton of packs so i probably get a fair bit...
He gets every ghosting and partial ghosting bug as well... while I don't.

i gave a pa member a crate of 45 stimb's and stood next to her while she used em over and over on pets...
i logged out with the same xp in every bar i have as i started with when i handed her the crate
is UXP broken with factory made items?
i have tried making the sub-components and trading with another doc, and we make a stim-c out of them and neither of us got anything for it.. but thats a flawed test, since, it would effectively be a low risk xp increase for nothing..dunno
That's a tough one to call. it's possible that there there is a round down factor involved, so factory subcomponents only give you maybe 3XP to begin with. If UXP were, say 20% of that then you would get a bonus of ..6 XP per item, which would, presumably, round down to 0.
There could just be a factory crate issue itself, though. I just haven't done any kind of testing on the full slate of possibilities.
Then I logged off, and had her use up the other stimpack B in the same way. After she finished, I logged back on. When I got back in, I hadn't gained any medical crafting exp.
The stimpack Bs were crafted from identical components -- some aluminum, some rice, and BECs/CRDMs/LSs that were from factory crates.
Considering I've sold over a hundred stim Bs on the bazaar (and 50 of them have been bought by the same guy, over the past couple weeks), I think I'm probably owed about 2,500 medical crafting usage XP.
What is up with the usage XP gained when people use weapons that are made. It seems that each weapon has a cap of only gaining the crafter probably 100-150 points towards crafting after so much use. That is stupid, it should have some value to make weapons for people besides just crafting them and destroying them a.k.a. grinding out the XP. How about some kind of change to this scale... at least then myself I might make master before I'm a grandaddy.
I was really confused by this to begin with, but a few crafters soon set me straight. It seems, contrary to the manual, there is no Useage XP. All that is needed is that you make hundreds of items all day long, and them just destroy them if you don't want to sell them.
Anyone Verteran Artisans know if it ever worked like the manual suggests?
1) The person using the item is not you (i.e. the one that crafted it)
2) You are logged in at the time of use
3) You are on the same planet and in the same server area as the user
Which means that roughly 99% of the time ... you're not getting the UXP.
