ITS NOT FAIR THAT ENTATAINERS, SERVAYERES, HARVESTERS, CREATURE HANDLERS, and MARKSMAN CAN HAVE AFK MACROING. Y CANT WE!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Which I don't have any idea how they would catch you - but is against the EULA

Just for info,

I don't use it, but I don't condone it either. A master crafter reaching his skills with it just does that (and it will prevent him from getting RSI). It won't help him hopping from planets to planets looking for those rare resources (daily task). In my opinionthat's the difference between a good (succesful) crafter and a bad one: the good one has a daily task looking for those rare resources and no macro can help him.

I have experimented with it by the wayand it's a pain to set it up anyway.

No offense, but why would you want to AFK macro your way through a profession? If you're hologrinding, there should be at least a little sacrifice (punishment? heh!) made to work your way to master. If you plan on keeping the profession, AFK macroing your way through it (particularly a crafting prof) isn't going to do anything to help you LEARN the profession. You'll just be a crap master at the end.

What ticks me off the most about all of these Holo grinders are the ones who don't want to be at the keyboard to actually do it.

You know if this is what SOE wanted then they would have "Jedi" as a starting class.

If you really HATE all of that clicking, clicking, clicking to grind your profession then DON'T DO IT. DUH!

What I want to see is SOE give the CSRs the rights to do an /character_history. Which will give them a read out of the last 30 minutes of the character they target. Then if there is a pattern to the commands that are being used (ie every 10 minutes they say the same thing). Then they Send that person 3 tells 2 minutes apart. If the person doesn't respond. Then they are allowed to force that person LD by cutting their connection.

OR

For the combat or CH AFKer. If the same person has been in the same spot for over 30 minutes they are allowed to load a special Durni that has 20k HAM and does 2k Damage and is aggressive and Deathblows. Imagine the humility of getting killed by a Durni.

Ithink that would make a Combat Macro'er think twice before doing it.

Simply put, No there is not an unattended crafting macro, there are macros posted here, and you must sit and click on the resources when the tool box comes up in your screen, still though you must sit and click. And there are sampling (resource) macros that work just fine. You need to get harvesters going, but you can have your character while you are at SCHOOL (see WHALE = WHILE), or at work, or sleeping.

Fault: responsibility for wrongdoing or failure

It IS your fault. It's your fault because you CHOOSE to do it. You can only claim that it isn't your fault if you had no choice what so ever but to do it. But you DO have a choice. That choice is not to grind.

IF SOE WANTED A BUNCH OF JEDI RUNNING AROUND THEY WOULD HAVE MADE JEDI A STARTING CLASS.

SOEs only fault was to try and keep the way to Jedi a close guarded secret. Because they did that it was a silent challenge to everyone out there to try and figure out what that secret is.

I dont know what to say, other than your in a One Star hole so deep, you may as well go back to EQ.

Actually, you can have someone macro for you, for lets say, 25usd per hour. I would be willing to do it. Just let me know.

if you all look in the holocron (ctrl+h), and check out the FAQ, it says in there that AFK macroing is OK.. check it out.

i really do not understand why some ppl dislike macros so much its a TOOL THE DEVS PUT IN THE GAME so please stop with the holier than thou attitude just because you didnt use a macro but i would bet you created a great many of items in practice mode or just destroyed alot of the stuff you made. i mean hell about the only thing a crafting macro does for you is hit the enter key that takes no skill. so the only thing you prove by saying you never used macros in crafting is that you hit the enter key over a billion times, go you, you can hit enter your special.
