Alright, **** you. This is something that gets me. Who cares if I sell it way below what you sell yours for? Powerups take TEN resources. Ten resources cost what? 50 creds at the MOST? You do the math. It's not like I intentionally had my price at 95 just so everyone would buy them, it's what seemed like a fair price to me.

Wow, you've got some serious anger issues dude. All I did was SUGGEST something. I didn't call you any names, but now you've pretty much made me think you're a pre-teen punk with a chip on his/her shoulder.

I didn't say you HAD to. I didn't say you SHOULD. I suggested you try it to see what happens. If you want to make 95 credits each power-up, go ahead. Just stop being a **** head if you decide not to.

I would never attack somebody for selling something for cheap, but the fact is you will probaby be one of the same people posting in another thread about harvestor maintenence costs too high and artisans not being able to compete against higher level characters on the open market. To most classes that use powerups, they are willing to spend 2-400 credits for one. Why? Have you seen their bank accounts? They run destroy missions all day and have nowhere to spendtheir money, and power-ups are one things they have to replenish a lot. They are a good source of income for younger artisans, and you would be wise to make money off of it instead of barely covering your leveling up costs.

If you feel that you can survive on 95 credits for a powerup, more power to you. You might think you can sell more this way, but just remember somebody selling them for 400 credits needs only to spend 25% as much time on making power-ups and 75% time seeing the rest of the star wars galaxies. Greed? I don't think so, it's just what people are willing to pay. You have to find a balance between the CHEAP (95 Credits) and the OUTRAGEOUS (like the 3000 credit listing nobody will ever consider).

Amen! I don't bother selling stuff for under 100 creds anymore. It just isn't worth my time. Cost of resourses is not the only thing to consider when you price an item. Some people need to get that through their heads.

There are a lot of immature people in this game and they seem to be particularly set off by people having the audacity to actually charge for items. I guess they're branching out from abusing entertainers and medics to artisans.

Well, that's the weird thing...I would expect people to complain about prices being too high. But when mine are some of the higher realistic prices around, and someone complains about them being too low? Either he doesn't know what he's talking about or he's trying to get a rise. Maybe I could charge a bit more, but I'm certainly not 'ruining the market'. Possibly he's one of those who charge 900 for a piece of junk and doesn't realize that the difference between his stuff and mine is...his isn't worth 900! At any rate, there are a couple of people with prices significantly lower than mine, and I contacted them and they said they never got any emails from this guy. So...unless I hear something else from him, he can try and compete with me however he wants.

I consider myself a casual artisan who is still experimenting with the whole crafting process while on my way to Eng4.

I sit around and craft whatever I think best suits my resources on hand and when my inventory is full I'll make a run to the bazar and dump my items. Most of the time I just want that inventory to move as fast as possible so I price them in a way that I think they will.

Last weekend I dumped about 15 power-ups on the market for 100cr apiece so I guess I'm more of a market destroyer than you!

If anyone has a problem with my under-cutting prices then I urge them to purchase those offending items, mark them up to whatever price they seem to think is fair and resell them.

Simple solution - I move my product, they save theeconomy from my evildeeds and make a profit from it as well - WE ALL WIN!

P.S. Yes, my character is poor and No, I don't complain. I don't play this game to aquire wealth, I play the game to have fun. The definition of fun TO ME istrying to survive the trip to wayfar solo with my gimp, hand-made gun so I can sell my stim-pack B's at prices that are sure to threaten the stability of the economy.

Had a conversation with Kasuta(Bucky) last night regarding this. I too am selling powerups on the same server. Two nights ago I actually sold a stock for 728. I nearly fell of my chair when I saw this. How did I do it ? Auction!

I don't do huge amounts of powerups so I don't mind to wait a while for them to get off the market. Instead of trying to be too competitive with my pricing I drop them on there for 150 and let the consumers compete with each other.

PS. Bucky, you probably know this but there's Wigeride Iron on Corellia right nowwit OQ of 999. I have mined a ton of the stuff so let me know if you need any. The other stats on this iron is not useful but I will probably continue to make powerups from it for a long time.

^ ^ ^ I have over 70k of Eci steel which has a 980+ Overall Quality rating.

If anyone's selling lots of power-ups and would like some good OQ steel to help the process, send me (Chong) a /tell on the Radiant Server. It doesn't take a genius to realize that even if you purchased some at 5 cr/unit, you're going to make some serious money off of power-ups...

I can consistantly sell resources (current ones, not rare) for 6cr a unit on valcyn server. I usually sell small lots (300units) but have sold 500-550 lots for 3000creds. Now I have noticed that the market is starting to slow down (since this is a fairly new server) but I will keep selling resources for the highest price I can get.

Actually, as I upgrade all of my mining equipment my prices will still stay higher for such small amounts, I mean selling 1k of resources for 3k is silly (my opinion) and almost a waste of my time (except in bazzar which there is no time facter and only 20cred fee). The 2.75-3 cred a unit pricing would kick in a about 3-5k units minimum for me at least and might drop to 2.5 at ~10k+.

This pretty much goes for everything sell items for what you can get, the market will determine the price.

Well, I was gonna let this topic slide away but, since it's had a rebirth...last night I saw the guy's stuff for sale on the bazaar. He's listing the same powerups as I am, +30/+14..some of his are up to +32...for 950-1200 credits each. I can see why he's angry, and he thinks I am underselling, except for one little detail--I've been selling there for over a month now. If he thinks he can come in and start making 1000 credits apiece, then more power to him! I actually hope he gets it. But don't come in and send me a rude email because you want to come make a killing off my market. No, I don't own it but I do consider it 'my' market, as in I've been a consistent seller on this market for a while now. He can go somewhere else if he wants to bully people into setting his prices.

price is market dependant. under cutting people is fine that's how you gain market share. Just don't shoot yourself in the foot. If your selling stuff real cheap and then when your resources start to wain or your cash is low because you've been selling for little to no profit. You raise you prices and now everyone who bought your items now hates you beacuse you're ripping them off. Power ups are also stat dependant. People will pay much more for a 30% speed reduction 15% Mind cost reduction than they are for a 30% point blank penalty reduction 15% ideal range increase. If people are willing to pay 900 cr for a power up then you are losing alot of money by selling for 300. Try doubling your price I bet you'll sell the same amount and have more cash to play with. All my combat friends have no problem getting cash. it comes so easily for them they throw it around like it was nothing. Inflated economys pay inflated prices. Until cash becomes scarce prices will remain high.

In response to the email yeah I think that's quite rude. but there's not alot you can do about it.

Try Theed on lowca I could easily sell power-ups for 100cr each but there's so much money in the economy I'd be a fool to do it. Combat professions have so much money and no overhead they'll pay up to 1k for a good powerup.
