Well looking at my skill trees Smuggler isnt mentioned above any of the Artisan lines (only Pistol and Unarmed).

I believe during beta you also needed the Business line or Artisan (which is also still listed in the Prima guide to SWG) but I think that got removed

noob hints for SWG:

Smuggler requires unarmed and pistol, no artisan fartisan crap
