Obviously, the game needs to implement a melee weapon that acts as a ten foot pole!

Come to think of it, didn't I read somewhere about 15m reach pikes?

Then again, when you have creatures demonstrating 30m melee attacks, that still might not be enough!

the mods help groups a lot and upcoming changes to both look nice, but zero offense and horrible defense (I just stay back and pick things off and harvest, but I have to be in group, no solo ranger here)

For over 2 years I have been Master Tailor/Master Artisan/Master dancer, what am I going to do now?


It dosen't look very good for people that actually *like* non-combatant professions.


Am I going to be able to keep my professions or am I going to be forced to choose between the two?


I really enjoy the camraderie that I have encountered with these professions and don't know what I'll do after the new and improved system comes out.


From the sounds of it I wont be able to be a crafter and an entertainer. This would make it bad enough for me to cancel as I refuse to pay for 2 accounts to do the same thing I did before with just one.

Does anyone have any insight as to this or are the purenon-combatants f*cked as far as their chosen path?

I feel your pain . I have been a crafting/combat hybrid since day 1 and have loved it.
It has given me a happy mix without having to invest to much money. I don't know what I'll do now. I feel like there was no consideration for mixed templates.

From the looks of it, I don't think they even care about us. No wonder they brought out uber loot drops, They were getting ready to kill crafting.

I understand how hard this is going to be. I actually pay for *three* accounts and except for the jedi every single one of them is a hybrid. I have no idea of how I will juggle it for the time being.

i USED to pay for 2 accounts, but as of about a half hour ago, i'm not paying for any accounts anymore.



one of the dev's posts reasoned that the reason for removing CH and BE, and combining crafting and stuff is due to the lack of players playing those profs. but think about it, if we had 50% of the player base as Master Tailor, no one would buy anything due to market over-saturation.

I think that the *real* reason why they left out BE and CH is that they are not "iconic". I don't ever remember seeing a BE in the original trilogy and the CH I remember is the rancor handler in Jabba's palace. Of course, that rancor trainer *is* pretty memorable.

i can just forsee the utter dumbing down of all crafting in-game.


i don't know if any of you have ever played World of Warcraft, but if you have, check out some crafting there, and you'll see just how dumbed down crafting can get. if i create a certain potion, it's stats are ALWAYS the same, no matter what.

Since we're going to be able to create 4 toons per server, you can pick one of your hybrid professions to respec on your present toon, create a new toon for another, etc. In the long run, it's hard to decide which half to keep on your favorite toon, but the extra characters sounds pretty good to me! I don't know about others, but I will gain 2 new professions and finally get a full combat character again to play when Jedi is not appealing. At the moment, it's a matter of wait and see since our information is still very limited.

The 4 toons is an arbitrary number and may not be happening. I talked to the devs yesterday and they were unsure how many extra toons, if any, could be supported.
