What is the best item to make to get the most XP. I have been making Muzzle's for 40-42 XP/ea. Thanks.

I think that the muzzle is the best thing to build for the XP. It has a complexity level of 14 so I would assume that it is the most XP rich item. If the complexity of the item has anything to do with the XP you get from making it then I would also recommend the type 11 fireworks. They're neat to watch and good for special occations. Oh, another cool part about the muzzle is it barely takes any resources so you can sit there sampling materials and building muzzles and getting XP in both fields.

Check around a few other threads, there's been some debate that the reenforced staff is pretty good at eng3, with the axe taking the spot at eng 4.

But don't take my word for it, I don't do the "must level" grind, I make what I need, make a few other things for other people, and get the xp fast enough to be happy.

Should be starting armorsmithing this weekend, after maxing out eng and domArts....

For pure XP/time, plop yourself down on a place where you can get lots of Metal (80%+), and start making Surveyors...Mineral, Chemical, whatever. They're 60+ XP each, and are made fast. Plus, all they take is Metal, so you can harvest the resources quickly enough. I would suggest building 9 or 10 Harvesters, taking them out to a spot that has 80% of a Metal, put them all down (don't worry about maintenance, just let them destroy themselves), and start grinding. You'll have the resources and the XP in a jiffy.

I'd have to disagree with all of you.

Go with couplers. They offer the same amount of exp as muzzles, for the same amount of resources but take 1/3 of the time to craft.

That's 40 exp for 10 resources in 10 seconds. Nice combination.

Yeah all you do at eng3 is craft a structure and furniture crafting tool and it is in the list right there but make sure you have plenty of resources in case you get a critical failure.

Another thing you can do, build another Item creation tool, you can use one while the other is still creating your other item, this saves downtime. When you hit Eng IV, do Stocks and Axes, they seem to be the best exp so far.

i make toolstoolstools, It seems to me more resources = more xp! (only uses 1 or 2 common resources)
- Ill be master artisan soon, so it seems to work pretty well i guess
Its much more fun making stuff for people, and they tend to tip, or try, depending.
Armor seems to moive well, especially if you can get them to bring you resources.

Time flies when you are having fun, and I am !!!

I make other crafting tools and sell em cheap to newbs. Then, whenever they make something, I get XP too!
