^^Title says it all. Why are you an artisan? What part of it do you find fun? I'm just wondering

Not fun, but necessary. I compete with other architects on my server for the best crafting stations, so I like to experiment with parts to get the best possible functionality. I also really like the benefits of surveying 4.

Again not fun but necessary. I'm a droid engineer and so much of what we make requires the Master Artisan box.

But there is something kinda cool about knowing I've crafted all my vehicles.

I am a miner as well as a CH by profession. To mine efficently I need to survey. To survey I need to be an Artisan.

crafting is a lot of fun, my alt is a master tailor, master artisan some shipwright and some architect, and x4x4 vender. i make everything from shipsswoops houses harvesters components in bulk lots and lots and lots of clothes repair tools best BE clothes on the server the vender was mainly for my loot saling from my main, my jedi who gets lots of loot, which is sold on my tailor at her mall.

i would say i spend more time now on my carebear than my jedi cause its just so much fun, well its a lot funner than waitin at theed for 5 hours for 2 overt rebs to come zerg my lil jedi. crafting is very dynamic in this game, and so is the surveying to get the resources needed. i really enjoy planetary geology irl, so runnin around on my crafter is fun cause its like what i would do irl if i lived in the space age, just running around mars scouting for uber oil for my west texas oil buddies who live in the white house...

Man, I really cant choose. I'm currently TKM, Mdoc, 0004 swords, but I'm thinking of changing because I'm tired of all teh grinding. There really isnt much to the combat side except guild hunts and grinding. And I dont want to be a jedi. Guess I'll have too, though, to get my alt.

I enjoy it for the crafting (though being able to track down resources on my own is a nice plus). But while my primary focus is producing BE meds (I did some crafting as a Doc pre-CU, so mostly a matter of inertia) that crafting isn't very challenging. Max power (ideally with 9 points) and put the other 2-3pts into charges and go for an amazing success. The Artisan foods have so many useful lines of experimentation (not to mention the varied BE additives) so I can constantly tinker with them to find the best results. And the powerups are a challenge since you have to balance the positive and negative mods. And the fact that the products are useful now is a huge bonus.

believe they are saying they are master because of neccesity.. not want (ie for the fun of it).

I am a master artisan because I need all of it, except master artisan So I figured1 box isn't gonna kill me. Being a tailor I need engineering and domestic arts, for merchant I need business, and survey in order to place harvesters in good locations. *shrug* If you want to do anything crafting wise.. you are better off just mastering it unless you need the skill points elsewhere... cause most likely you have almost all of it anyways.

I find it pretty satisfying when people buy my products. Makes me feel like an important cog in the galactic economy . And the easy surveying is VERY nice too!

Why I am an artisan: Because after the combat upgrade I could no longer kill anything.
