I joined a new server and all i've got going for me is artisan 4-4-4-4 and i have found it impossible to find people to teach! All i seem to see is people asking if i can grind range support 1 with them, of course I am forced to decline because I have no combat xp. Surely there's an easier way?

Either next time teach whenever you can, it helps to be places where people do combat, or pick up novice marksman, learn ranged support 1, and teach it to other people.

I'm on Bria and am consistently maxed out on AP. I head to Mos Eisley 3-4 times per day to restock my bazaar sales, and always keep an ear out for people looking for training. As I write this, I remember that I progress fairly slowly (I get about one box every three days in weaponsmith), so that might have everything to do with it - the time between when I need the AP and when I gather it is long.
But, of all places, Mos Eisley has the greatest need for training.

Go to Mos Eisley and train noobs. There are dozens of people starting there at any given time, and most of them run out into the desert, earn enough XP for a new skill and come in looking for a teacher.
But in order to get AP, you will probably need to pick up SOME combat skills... most of the people who play the game are in it for the combat. You can always drop the combat skills once you get your AP, but the more skills that you have to offer people for training, the easier AP will be for you to get.

I have been maxed on AP for at least a month, including mastering 3 professions during that time.

I've worked through four different master professions, and i've always maxed out my AP LONG before I was ever ready for master. My skills were spread out among a few professions at a time, so that might have something to do with it. With more skill trees, I have more opportunities to teach.

I have to say, when I need the App Xp I couldn;t get it for love nor money, and it took me ages to get up enough to get my Master.
As soon as I got master, the training cam ein thick and fast, and in the space of a couple of days I had maxed out my App XP enough to get my master DE (which took me a lot longer to get!!), and again, once I had master the training came in thick and fast!!
Always the way, when you need it, you can;t find it, when you have it already, it's like water in a flood.

Things that have helped me get AP:
1) Wear my highest title on my character
2) Lurk near the profession trainers and/or starport/cantina at newbie cities (Mos Eisley, Theed, Coronet, etc)
3) Keep a really good watch on spatial. When someone hollars for training, /target person;/invite person
The trick is to get the jump on others.
Using these techniques, especially while grinding, I've been able to easily get the AP I need before I need it.
Take care,
Guru

I haven't ever really ground through a profession,so I guess that makes a big difference as I had more time to collect AP. Grinders would certainly have a hard time finding enough people to train - I can see that being a problem for them. That must be why folks on my server (Radiant) stand around in Eisley nearthe NPC trainers offering 1k credits for any skill they teach, paying the student to be taught. I never understood that before - my AP is usually capped.

I have no problems finding someone to teach everyone comes to the cantina or the starport in Mos eisley.
Of course it is helpful to be a dancer also and perform in a group since you have always someone how needs a teaching in those groups... But I also teach artisans ... Espacially the noobs come to the starport for teaching and help...
