Okay. I've been playing since beta. And I have a question

If you 'Examine' your survey tool, you'll see something like this:

Resolution Limits

-MIN: 3pts

-MAX: 6pts

-SET: 5pts

Range Limits

-MIN: 64m

-MAX: 384m

-SET: 320m

Is this a tease? Is there a way to set the survey tool to the 384 m?

Apparently it is a tease. I'd noticed that alsoand originally thought it would be a small +Survey bonus in the Master Artisan box that would allow the maximum for you but alas, no.

maybe a clothing attachment will provide that extra boost?

Try it out with a chef food, if you know someone willig to make this one ..

Chandad - Its gives +7.5 - 11.7 to survaying for 12-22 min.

I know ill give it a go ..

Ya, I noticed the same thing a while ago.

Perhaps you can get itusing clothing attachments if you can get up to +10 in Surveying.

I tried some +15 Survey food at Survey 4. But only got 320mx5 max.

Heh, maybe with like, +25 survey on clothing and +15 with a drink

Not exactly sure on this, since I haven't tried it myself, but it could be that the +survey mods only lets you get more resources when hand sampling, nothing to do with the survey tools

Has anyone been able to clarify this topic?

I've just read back 25 pages of info to get to this very issue, and would very much like to know if anyone has worked out if it possible to get the Max 384m.

Failing that, I'm going to have to round up a bunch of skill tapes (of which I can only find +1's atm)mixed with surveying food at test it myself....

Here's to hoping that someone else has already done it!

On TC-2, if you have the Force Sensitive line that is called survey, you get additional survey skills.

With Survey IV, and the Force Sensitive Survey line, I got my survey range up to 386 m

You're telling me that a Jedi can survey better than an artisan? Isn't Force abilites and a lightsaber enough for those 12 year olds? Might as well call this game Jedi Galaxies if they can do everything better
