Wasn't able to find the link to my specific question, so if anyone is reading this, quick answer:

I am interested in grinding the business tree of Artisan. Which item, at novice artisan, requires the most resources to make and gives the best XP? How much XP does it give?

Thanks in Advance

Can be done much faster.

Make ChemicalCrafting kits (70XP per craft). Use 2 general crafting kits for faster crafting so you are always busy crafting something. Go for Engineering 3. Once you reach 3-0-0-0 make sure you only make Wind Generator deeds. When you hit Engineering 4, only craft Moisture Extractor Deeds. They will give about 500XP per piece. Just keep them at practise. The only downer is you need alot of resources but you can reach 4-4-4-0 in about 1-2 hours this way. Getting survey is a bit harder.

To get survey 4, find a spot with incredible concentration. Get some action/mind food to make sure you don't have to wait for your HAM to refill and keep sampling places with 80+% for quick XP gain. After4 hours you will most likely hit Survey 4.

Good luck!

I agree, mineral survey devices. It won't take you very long, prolly about an hour anda half at most. If you actually use a macro, instead of just hand clicking in practice mode, you can do it under 30 min.

Bishop, Andy, reread his post. He doesn't want all of artisan, just some business ( prolly for a vendor). Using just novice artisan, making mineral survey devices in practice mode is his best bet.

I did Water Surveying tools. Got to Master Artisan in about1 1/2hours with a fast macro (not counting surveying which I did first to get a chunk of the resources).

If you just want to do the Business tree, you can likely do that in about 30 mins with a good macro.

because if you go up 4000 first you can craft personal harvesters that give you like 400-500xp per..so i think you could do it lots faster than 1 1/2 hour without the surveying part

Yeah, ya probably could. I trained them as I qualified for them. I was resource restricted, so I had to go the survey tool route. If resources aren't an issue, definitly go the harvester route.

But like he was saying, he just needs 0/0/4/0. Unless he actually wants the engineering tree, it'd take just as long to get Eng 4 as it would to get Business 4.

Either method works, just which way you go depends on what you want the final outcome to be, and what resources you have at your disposal.
