Well, the simplest way to get rid of it is to click cancel, but that doesn't help when you're trying to get that survey xp.
What you want to do is to have a short-running macro. Start with "/sample", pause for 61 or 91s (samples are taken every 30s), stand, /pause 30 (since you can't start sampling for 30s since the last sample was taken), and repeat. The pop-ups will still come up, but once you stand and restart, any pop-ups are ignored. When you come back, you'll have to cancel through quite a few, but you will have gathered resources and xp.

Sorry bro. These pop ups were put in specificly to prevent ppl from afk macro surveying. Best thing to do to occupy your time while surveying is to knock out all the crafting you need to master. Just stock up on the resources you need and find a good spot to sample and have a nice long crafting session. Don't forget to look up and heal your action every once in a while too.

1. Make a macro called Sample with the text:
/sample;
/pause 2;
/stand;
/pause 1;
/sit;
/pause x;
/macro sample
Check how long it takes for you, while sitting,to charge up all the mind and action you used when sampling.
Change the X in /pause x; to the amount of seconds it took, although it must be atleast 28.
2. Run through the macro a few times so you see you recharge all the mind and action and that you dont use /sample to frequently so it sais you can't sample for another Y seconds.
3.Find somewhere safe to sample, use /macro sample or a hotkey for it.
4. Go out, enjoy life, come back later and you have the XP

It seems likea lot of peoplewant to run this game while they are AFK. Why even pay monthly subscription for a game that you are not even gonna play and just want to let it run AFK? I just don't get it.

What do you care how I play a game? Maybe I have five accounts, and leveled up most of my characters by playing the game, and now I'm just grinding through my fifth character because they are only there to open the FS slot. Don't you have more important things to worry about, than how someone else plays a game that, as you so kindly pointed out, they are paying for? If you aren't paying for my account, then just be quiet.

Heres the thing about those windows though. You can ignore them and still continue to survey. As far as I have seen you still survey and the windows just stack over a period of time. If you are going to afk grind survey out. Dont worry. If you do read them and want to get that rich vein of mineral goodness for 200 action go ahead and do it.

Why do you assume that everyone who AFKs never plays except for being AFK? That is retarded logic at it's best.

No NeoBlueMax, if you dont start a new /sample you will not continue to sample until you clicked either Accept or Decline (or whatever they say).

LadyGrey,
I am not here to pick a fight. I can reply to you with angry and nasty personal attacks like you did to me, but I choose not to do that. I can also say millions of things about negatives of AFK macroing and how it disrupted my fun while playing the game. I choose not to do that here. My first post was made because I was just simply wondering why people would letthe game run for hours and hours while they are completely AFK. I did not make any attacks on any particular person or group of people. And that includes you.
Get this though. You are not the only one paying to play the game. I pay to play this game too. When I see something that I see as a problem for me (AFK macroing), I can say something about it.
JasonK,
I never used the word "never." Of course, you are gonna play the game at the keyboard sometime. Nobody is gonna pay to play a game completely AFK.I justsee a problem when people are AFK for 5,6+ hours running macros constantly.

And who in their right mind finds sitting their sampling resources for HOURS entertaining? If you got all your surveying XP 1-4 by actually watching your toon sample for hours on end than you need mental help, cause any normal person would go out of their mind.

DHU Screed,
No worries. If there is any reason for doing something that will make you go out of your minds would be the Jedi holocron grinding. After the Jedi revamp, there will be no reason for anyone to force themselves into doing such things. I wish everyone the best of luck in their search for the Jedi. I just hope that it won't be a disappointment though... what a waste of time and energy it would be for many people who had to grind things they don't enjoy, just to find out that all that effort was in total vain.
Oh, and I am a normal person, and doing surveying 1-4 at the keyboard without AFK macroing did not make me go out of my mind. ^_^
