Hello, the wonderful holocron told me to master artisan. Now I have been searching for the best way to macro AFK surveying, and crafting.

Please tell me if this will work?

Create a macro, place it in row 6 slot 1.

/stand;

/pause 1;

/sample;

/pause 3;

/stand;

/pause 2;

/sit;

/pause 25;

/ui actiontoolslot 00;

That should be good for sampling, *BUT*

I do not understand the way to make a crafting macro. Can someone explain with detail?

Why do people feel they need to tell other people how to live? How to play a game? Please dont. I pay, so I will play my way. I want to be a Jedi, I do NOT want to be an artisan. I know there is a way to do some AFK crafting, I asked for someone to show me how, not get a lecture.

Again, if anyone know how to make a crafting macro for AFK, please let me know.

Your macro should work, although you may have to experiment with the pause times. Pause 3 after sampling may need to be increased a bit.

And AFK Macroing is NOT a violation of the EULA, and has been stated so by the SOE reps on this board. It is only a violation if you use a third party program to do it. As longas you are using the in game macro system, you are fine.

I AFK macro sample all the time. I am already a Master Artisan and am not chasing a Holo. I AFK macro sample while I am at work simply to gather resources I need. It's like having an extra personal harvester that doesn't require Power or Maintenance.

Play the game the way you want. It would be nice if Holo Chasers didn't flood the Artisan market with tons of grind products at cheap prices, though. Some of us have to makea living as Artisans.

Yea, I've never really got around to learning that one either. I dont know how you choose the resources, or if you can using what SOE's given us. You can make it automatically select the draft schematic etc etc and make it goto the next crafting stage using well /nextcraftingstage
I just make sure I have a flashing cursor in the chat box, select the schematic I want, press enter double click the resources that are needed, press enter, press enter, press enter. Click next crafting tool, it will defualt to the last schematic, press enter, double click, press enter, press enter etc etc. Using the crafting macros I dont see how they can be much faster honestly, as you still have to manually load the resources. If there is a way legally to do it, I dont know what it is.

Your sampling macro should be ok, you'll put it in the top left hot key to activate it using the 00 slot.

My sample button is more
/sample
/pause 5
/sit
/pause 25
/stand
/pause 5
/ui actiontoolbarSlot00 (or whatever it is for sure) Just to give it enough time on dial up not to miss any of the actions around the sample time.

OH, BTW, work up the ENG tree first. Once you hit eng 4 (I think, dont think it's 3) you can start making harvesters. That'll make it fly by. Uses lots of resources for a lower level tree and DA and BUS will fly by.

Unless everyone I've spoken to is wrong, you can't craft while AFK.

Why? You need to pick the resources with your mouse. There is no keyboard equivalent to this.

The best thing you can do is make a macro that automates the rest of the process but you still have to be present and do a lot of quick double-clicking.

You CAN make a crafting macro. You put the resources in your toolbar slots. I just dont know exactly how to do the rest.

ok the crafting macro works like this.... it might be a little off since I have done it, but at least it is better than nothing.

You need to put your crafting tool in your hotkeys and you will need anywhere from 5-7 tools depending on what you are crafting..

and the macro for instance might be

/ui action toolbarSlot00;/loadDraftschematicXX(you need to experiment to see what number the schematic is);/pause XX(you have to actually still click on the resources to add to the hopper);/nextcraftstage(or something like that);/createPrototypeitem practise

or something like that ... just make sure to put it so it loops

for instance... f1 leads to f2 leads to f3 leads to f4 leads to f5 leads to f6 leads to macro to start all over again

see what I mean ?????

Kinda complicated but if you do it right and can afford the resources you should be able to master armorsmith, weaponsmith, DE, architect, chef, tailor, and artisan in about maybe 5 days tops.....

You CAN'T fully automate crafting w/ the ingame macros. Listen to all the real Artisans who's been trying to tell you that.

Oh, and I play on dial up so there is no reason for me to get 5-7 going at a time for normal grinding. At master architect with some of the furniture and such, I do have that many going at once since they take up to 70 or so seconds to complete. But those dont happen that often.
